All big cities are inundated with homeless tents, most worse than Portland.
This means it should be handled at the national level. We should start by balancing the wealth disparity.
I've visited many cities in this great nation of ours and, quite frankly, have never seen anything like the pictures seen in that tiktok video I shared above. Absolutely disgusting, and heartbreaking at the same time.
Your link isn't working for me.
Dang, does this work?
Yes that worked.
1. Portland hasn't defunded the police.
2. What policies does he propose that would solve homelessness?
Ask him. He challenged anyone to a debate. As I mentioned, though, I've never seen anything like the trash being shown in Portland. Disgusting and heartbreaking at the same time. Why does Portland stand out? Ya got me.
Because Portland, as a liberal stronghold, is targeted by right wing shock jocks, and their audience eats it up. This means clickbait garbage about Portland gets high click-through rates, hence increased financial incentive for media in general.
The worst homeless tent city in America is Los Angeles....I think it's now over 52 city blocks ....second is Las Cruces New Mexico....Portland is just like most cities homeless situation...it's just had a magnifying glass put on it because it's in an area that is highlighted by liberal protesting of white privilege....it's in essence become a conservative target for told you so editorials. There are homeless tent cities all over the planet... best to talk about your own neighborhood issues as they affect your life the most. It's not good in Portland for homeless or anywhere in the northern states in winter....the whole world is struggling with homelessness and have's and have nots becoming neighbors
At any rate, I'm sure Portland will get things worked out. Right?
That's gotta be it, Mars.
Well, if that's what the data tells us, (homelessness in Portland and Oregon was actually dropping before the pandemic and fires), it seems strange to assume otherwise.
Of course, if you have a narrative you're trying to push or are trying to sell papers or clicks to people who want to believe that narrative I could see why you'd struggle with the data.
You know who Andy Ngo is right? He's Portland's version of Alex Jones ane he's the one with the antifa conspiracy theories that were spun around George Floyd protest marches....he targets antifa and BLM and tries to spin the Proud Boys as patriots. Another Trump fan...once you go down that rabbithole, you must wade through the muck
I know good and well who he is.
Sure, there are plenty of homeless camps in stick areas. The scene from the video that truck me the most was downtown Portland.
Then you should know better than to sell his propoganda pieces.
Another closure timeline is looming for what may be the city’s largest encampment, just south downtown along the Cumberland River.
