I think the TWolves will go with the lineup you posted or possibly... PG - Jaric SG - Wally SF - KG PF - Griffin C - Olowakandi There has been a rumor circulating around that the TWolves are shopping Kandi. Maybe KG moves to center this year?
I think The Wolves will go with either of the lineups I'm gonna post. PG- Marko Jaric SG- Trenton Hassell SF- Wally Sczerbiak PF- Kevin Garnett C- Michael Olowakandi or PG- Marko Jaric SG- Trenton Hassell SF- Wally Sczerbiak PF- Kevin Garnett C- Eddie Griffin
KG to centre??? hellll noo KG is gonna stay at PF;where he is the most effective. I see the line-up for the wolves being: PG - Jaric SG - Wally SF - Kevin Garnett PF - Griffin C - Candi I honestly dont like this line-up but you guys dont have anything better. I think the Wolves need a trade or few in-order to get some back-up for KG. I would love to see Kidd in a timberwolves jersey. This will for sure make you guys championship contenders

The only people I wouldn't start him against are Shaq, Ilgauskas, and Yao. Other than those three KG is going to have an advantage on most nights. The problem with Kandi is most teams don't have any respect for him so they double off him and focus two players on KG at all times. Having the duo of KG and Griffin in the game at the same time, forces teams to think twice about double teaming KG, because Griffin is smart enough to cut to the hop for an easy stuff. Teams would then have to double team with perimeter players, which would free up the shooters on the team, Jaric, Wally, etc.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He's 7'2</div> He is 6'11 and i doubt he can bang bodies with Shaq, Yao etc.I thnik keepin him at PF would be the best thing to do.
He's listed at 6'11", but he's really 7'1 or 7'2. He doesn't want to be listed as a 7 footer. And obviously he's not a banger, thats why shape said don't start him against Shaq, Yao, and Ilgauskas (don't start him at center that is).

Dam i never knew kg was really 7'1 or 7'2, add those long arms of his and dang Anyway wat about Jaric Mccants Wally Kg Kandiman Wat do you guys think about starting mccants?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NaKz:</div><div class="quote_post">Wat do you guys think about starting mccants?</div> I would definitely say to start McCants. He is as proven scorer in college and he should be ready to step in and contribute right from the start. Rashad is the Wolves future it would be nice to get a jump start on that. If McCants deson't start I believe that the minutes would be divided 30-28 in Rashad's favor. No way do I think Wally or Hassell should be starting in front of McCants, then again I have the most biased opinion on McCants on the site . PG - Marko Jaric SG - Rashad McCants SF - Wally Szczerbiak PF - Kevin Garnett C - Michael Olowakandi That is going to be the lineup come opening night I can tell you that much. The other lineups the Wolves will probably use at some point during the game (KG at SF, KG at C) but not from the start.
Why the hell would Garnett not wante to be listed at 7-2? That doesn't make any sense. Does he think his legacy will be tainted if people see him as a 7-0'er? Does the NBA allow players to pick their heights? I guess Wally is what? 6-10/6-11? LeBron is 7-0/7-1? Shaq is 7-4/7-5? Anyway, I agree with C.K. I'd definitely start McCants. PG - Marko Jaric SG - Rashad McCants SF - Wally Szczerbiak PF - Kevin Garnett C - Michael Olowakandi

I've heard him talk about this before explaining his reasoning behind it. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Timberwolves' Kevin Garnett, though widely thought to be 7-foot, is listed at 6-11 at his insistence. Why? He doesn't want any coach to get the notion to stick him at center. </div> Source Rasho is listed at 7 feet. KG is apparently 7'1 with 7'4 wingspan. He looks eye level with Rasho in that picture.
Many people on this post have Garnett as starting small forwar. I think that is crazy Garnett is one of the biggest guys on the team and shoiuld only play center or pf. Garnett is too big for a sf and does not have a good handle for a samll forward. Also during the beginnign of the season have rashad mccants come of the bench but if he excels as the sixth man start him. So basically the opening day lineup should be jaric hassel wally KG kandi but if mccants proves himslef take hassel out of the lineup and place mccants in his spot.

Why the hell would the NBA just allow players to manipulate their listed height like that anyway? You'd think more players would do that.
KG is good enough that he can play point guard if he wants too!!!! It dosnt matter how tall he is, he is skilled enough to shoot the three, bring the ball up, pass to the open man, led the league in rebounding for two years in a row, and oh yeah carry the Timbewovles on his back! KG is GREAT! so if he dosnt want to be listed as a 7 footer, then he wont be listed as a seven footer.
I'm a KG fan, i really am, but he didnt do a well enuf job of carrying the wolves on his back last season. But i guess theres only so much one man can do.
pg-marko jaric sg-RASHAD MCCANTS sf-Wally Szczerbiak pf-kg c-Michael Olowokandi they better start rashad man, his college stats are crazy he would do good in the nba if he starts he probably gets at least 13ppg
