I don't know what's wrong with him, nor do I care

All I know is that he better start stepping up his game. If I'm Phil, I give him one more run next game (even that might be too generous), and if he can't get his head out of his ass, bench him for Coby Karl. Karl can't possibly hurt us anymore than Farmar has these last couple of games. Worst comes to worst, let Brian Shaw suit up. 50 year old Brian Shaw can out play 23 year old Jordan Farmar

We traded the wrong PG in the Gasol trade. Anyways the fans got to him? The pressure? Only he knows.

If it's pressure he is definitely playing for the wrong team.

How the **** could it be pressure? Pressure is when the Lakers signed Derek Fisher in the offseason. Pressure is when the Lakers used their first round pick on another young point guard, Javaris Crittenton. There is no pressure on Jordan, which is the problem. He probably feels too secure about his minutes now that there's really nobody behind him. Which is why I say, if he doesn't start stepping up just play Coby Karl. He can't possibly be any worse.

Shape was giving his two cents about that in the main thread. I liked his input.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It's a real dilemma for us the past two games when Fisher gets two quick fouls and Farmar comes in the game. Deron Williams gets going right away and the Jazz build a lead and their confidence. Lakers have played from behind the entire in Utah, which is tough to deal with on the road.

I'm not sure if Sasha is the solution because he's played great backing up Kobe the entire season. Sasha isn't exactly stopping anyone either and I think Deron would have his way with him too. Sasha struggles when he has to handle the ball a lot and facilitate on offense. Case in point that one player in OT when he came flying along the baseline and passed it back out to nobody. He's at his best when he just spot up and drill the money ball.

The bottomline is Fisher needs to stay out of early foul trouble to keep Farmar on the bench.

Ever since the Lakers traded JCritt, we've all seen a drop in Farmar's game. He doesn't have anyone to push him for his minutes.</div>

I had missed that comment when I first read the post. Indeed, Sasha freaked out in OT but he's so far ahead of Farmar right now in offensive production.

I'd like to see the Lakers try and acquire another young PG who can push Farmar again. Or shop Farmar.

Man, something is seriously wrong with dude.

Just no fire what-so-ever with him. I mean I see him cheering on the bench which shows me he's no Smush, but he is definitely not even a shell of his former self.

He needs to put some mad time in the gym in the offseason and really show us what he can do next season.

As for this season, limit his minutes as much as possible...he's hurting us out there badly. I wanna see Ira Newble get some playing time these next few days because Radmanovic is not cutting it, he is doing worse than Farmar and Luke right now.

I'm actually pissed that Phil has given no time to Ira Newble. I want to see this guy out there, especially for defensive reasons. Same with Mbenga, we need him to get physical, but Phil doesn't throw him any PT.

Luke is playing awesome ball this post-season. Vlad has been a major disappointment. But shooters are streaky, if his shot gets going, he'll take off. That's the problem with shooters, you can't really sit them for an extended period of time if you want them to break out.

I just don't see anything in Farmar, anymore. Ever since that Crittenton trade, he seems to have lost his desire because he knows his minutes are guaranteed. Plus, I've always felt that he wasn't a triangle PG. I wonder if we should just test his value on the market this off-season, see if we've got any biters who are willing to trade a young PG more suitable for the triangle.

I've loved the way Fish has stepped up against the Jazz, at least that has made me forget about Hogface.

Exactly. Farmar isn't meant to be in a triangle system. He needs to be playing for a team like New Jersey or something, he'll fit perfectly there (I know Devin Harris is there now, but Farmar would work well with teams like those)

This is another reason why I'm glad we didn't trade Bynum for Kidd. Kidd wasn't what we needed because the triangle doesn't need a real point.

I remember a while back I said Chauncey Billups would be the perfect match for the PG position for the Lakers and I still believe it. He would such a perfect fit. Oh well.

Fisher has been beyond incredible this series.

Where the **** would we be right now without his defense on Deron or his clutch offensive performances? Seriously. I definitely underrated Fish in the past, but dude is legit, no doubt about it.

With that said, keep that guy away from the basket for a layup, and we're all good. [IMG]

Billups would be great over here, his numbers are so underrated since the Pistons run at the slowest pace in the league the last two or so years.

There is peace amongst Laker fans, I'm loving this vibe. Illmatic, Vick the Brick would be proud of us three getting along.

Trust me, us three agree on more things than you think, I just come off wrong sometimes. At the end of the day, we just want the best for the Lakers and these losses are bound to cause conflict amongst us.

I'm a major believer in "Winning solves everything." I think that's why our Lakers have bonded so much recently, we've been absolutely on a tear, so there's been no reason for anybody to get angry at each other, you know.

Besides, you guys are fam, so it's gotta be tough love. [IMG]

    Agree 100%.

You hear anything about Kobe's back? I was at work after the game so I missed all the post game stuff. I heard that KCAL 9 (pretty sure it was them) reported he couldn't stand up on the plane.

some dudes just aren't ready for those deep playoff runs early in their careers. (see Luther Head on my Houston Rockets). Farmar is obviously shook out there on both ends of the floor, and has lost all confidence in himself. Some rookies come in with guns blazing (Gibson and Cassell come to mind), while others mature at slower rates. Eventually I think Farmar will be fine, but this year I wouldn't expect him to be a major contributor.....

DREAM, nice to see you around, haven't seen ya in awhile.

About Farmar, it's not just this series, this has been going on since we traded away Javaris Crittenton. When we did that, Farmar got lazy. He stopped playing D, stopped driving to the hoop, and settled for idiotic jumpers. He knows his minutes are secure, so he doesn't give a ****.
