Bring back the former style ,

it's better to read, and post.

    What's wrong with the system?

    How long to recover?

You are insane. That old style was disgusting, painful to navigate, and cluttered.

This one is much cleaner, smoother, faster, less cluttered, doesn't make me want to pour salt into my eyes.

Yeah I'm actually really loving this new look. Very clean, very professional, and its got a ton of features we didn't have at the other site. Plus we've got some fun things on the way

I think this is the default mode, how could default mode be better?

The older one is easier to make a quick reply, now I have to click the buttom to do that,
and the panels in the left side, push the main windows to the right, it doesn't suit the screen well.

Just use the Fast Reply button to make quick replies.

I agree the panel thing needs to be tweaked so everything fits on one screen.

jarkid, there is an option to keep the "fast reply" box on all the time.

Go to "my controls" and click on "board options".

I don't like either of the styles. I like some of the features, but I hate the look to it. I didn't like the other style much, either though.

I tweaked it so it's fixed width; it shouldn't cause anyone's browsers to require scrolling to the right.

Let me know if you have issues still.

The site is 990 pixels wide, if you stretch the browser it is centered in the browser window (instead of stretching to fix).

That's what I meant by fixed width.

I think overall its an improvement. Only thing I'd change is to give the option to the user to be able to ignore the user info (Posts/Points/Join Date/Location/Member No), similar to being able to not view avatars. Just so more than 2 posts fit on a screen.

Right now I have avatars and sigs turned off (not because of bandwidth or loading speed, just so its quicker to read), and only 2 posts fit on my screen.

Hey, tell me, how to let the unread thread become bold ?

The current one doesn't support the feature.

I use IE 7.0 and they are not bold, no matter you have read or not.

And when I use quick reply, it always show the error message...

damn, this new system is just bad.

The links aren't bold on this site anymore. The icon on the left indicates if you have read a thread and if it has new posts. There's a "jump to first unread post" image next to posts you've read as well.
