So -- just went to my work holiday party and they had karaoke. I killed with my rendition of Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild. And followed up with a Billy Idol -- White Wedding. What's your karaoke hit?

If they have newer songs, it's Mr Brightside.

For older stuff, "We Built This City" and "Ring of Fire"

Just for fun: Baby Got Back, Regulators and Total Eclipse of the Heart (preferably "Dan Band" version)

Oh, shit, son. I karaoke a disgusting amount. I went tonight. Let's see what I sang.

"I Want Your Sex" by George Michael
    "Killer Queen" by Queen
"Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees
"She Drives Me Crazy" by FYC
    "Beautiful Girls" by Sean Kingston
"All Out of Love" by Air Supply
    "Gay Bar" by Electric Six
    "Separate Ways" by Journey

My voice gave out with about six words left in "Open Arms", which was my last song of the night. Perfect timing.

I think that my favorite songs, though, are "Paradise City" by Guns and Roses and "Your Love" by the Outfield.

How's that for suddenly revealing a massive geeky streak?

I do not karaoke, but if I were to do so.. I would totally sing The Locomotion by Kylie Minogue.

Wow -- 8 songs -- that's a huge set! LoL One time I had to spend the night in Bend for work and they had a Karaoke Bar in the hotel. I sang 6 songs -- and I thought that was a lot! Besides the 2 I named above, I did Ice Ice Baby (Until some drunk chick stole the mic from me and finished the song), Me and Bobby McGee, Cleaning Out My Closet, and then Picture or whatever the song is with Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock. Your Love is a great song. I don't go to Karaoke bars that much, but I do love me some rock band and guitar hero.

8 is a bit excessive... there are two stages at the bar I go to, I know the hosts, and while there were a ton of people (lots of WSU fans because of the game a few blocks away) not that many people were singing.

I don't know how well I'll be able to talk today. :)

I have only sang Karaoke one time a long time ago and I sang The Distance by Cake. Well, not so much sang as "performed".

I like to flex a lot while I am singing/rapping it. Seems weird, but it seems to work.

    Hmmmm....

    "Plush" - Stone Temple Pilots
"Don't You Forget About Me" - Simple Minds
"Escape" - Rupert Holmes (aka, Pina Colada song)
    "Careless Whisper" - George Michael
"Break My Stride" - Matthew Wilder'
    "Silent Lucidity" - Queensryche
"Hunger Strike" - Temple of the Dog
"All I Want" - Toad the Wet Sprocket

This is one of the few songs that I've butchered more than once... I usually figure out if a song just doesn't work for me, but this keeps pulling me back in!
