On the scouting report both seem like they can make their own in the nba but how come we still left them over there. Malick Badine i read on his scouting report he was supposed to be a lottery pick in the nba draft of 2003 until his shoulder got hurt. People say he has a perfect nba athleticism but he is skinny and has not put on enough weight. Some people also say he has a body that is awfully similar to stromile swift but a little less talented the most likely prospect is him becomming a player that is similar to Samuel Dalembert. Spanoulis has been compared to players like gillnobili and nash. Being good at both pg and sg. great jump shot and good ball handling skills and plus atheleism if this was true why didn't we bring him over. What do you think about these guyz???? Do they have a future with Rockets??? And why does the scouting reports sound picture perfect when they are still over there trying to develop???

well... the only reason we didn't pick badline cause we signed swift and baxter... and vaassilis, we traded for rafer (plays around 30 minutes) and then we didn't know if luther is going to play the 1 or 2... and we didn't know sura was going to have a surgery until it was right before the preseason.. and we have moochie

From the preseason games, we found out Badiane was still too raw to actually contribute for us. In fact, he couldn't even hold his own against the scrubs in those games. Currently, I think staying in Europe would be better for him since he could develop over there while over here, he won't be getting much burn. Still, he's pretty young so its not like we can't bring him over later on. As for Spanoulis, I really like the guy. He's been shooting lights out in Greece but for whatever reason, I think with contract issues, he hasn't come over. Supposedly he's more of a shooter than anything, but still, I for one would like to see him come over. I think he has a better chance of having success on the Rockets compared to Badiane.

When scouting reports say Nachbar is going to be the next Peja, I think you should know why they are still there trying to develop.

If I don't remember wrong, Spanouliss signed a three-year contract in Greece over the summer, which essentially closed off the window for his arrival in Houston. We could negotiate a buyout when we feel he's ready, but in the end, it's up to him, not us, when he'll come over, if at all.

IT DUZNT MATTER WHO IS IN THE LINEUP, ALL STAR OR CORKY PLAYERS USELESS BECAUSE OF THE SYSTEM. VAN GUNDY IS GIVEN ALLSTARS IN TMAC AND YAO AND THEY CANT PLAY AS A TEAM AND WIN CONSISTENTLY, VAN GUNDY IS GIVEN ROLE PLAYERS SUCH AS SWIFT AND JVG TURNS THEM INTO COMPLETE SCRUBS. OH NEVERTHELESS IT'S JVG AND DAWSON'S FAULT FOR GETTING SWIFT AND RAFER WHO ARENT TEAM PLAYERS AND CANT WIN GAMES. WHER IS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM..NOT THE PLAYER BUT MAINLY THE COACHING..IT'S OK to lose but without showing effort for all 4 quarters is on the coach. papavich get up on tp and ginobili's grill everytime theuy mess up and yells at them but jvg would ratherblame the REFS and get fined rather than fix the players

Wow, Drm2Dnk you make some great points. I can't believe how right on you are. Swift was so great in Memphis and now look what JVG has done to him. I just can't believe it. Oh yea, JVG, way to nice to his players. Obivously he thinks it is ALL the refs fault. He never gets on players. Good points Drm2Dnk maybe you should start covering the Rockets. What do ya think?

Swift was great in Memphis? 10 and 4 don't really spell greatness to me, especially considering the fact that he couldn't beat out Lorenzen Wright for a starting job.

Being the competitor that Van Gundy is, I highly doubt that he is as soft a coach as, say, Mo Cheeks. Just because he doesn't badmouth his players to the media does not mean that he doesn't criticize them in the locker room. Actually, that benching of TMac after the airball in the blowout by Boston is a good example.

Yea, Locke there was just a smidge of sarcasm in what I was saying. I really hope nobody thinks Swift was great in Memphis and as far as Van Gundy goes, if you think he is soft then your crazy. Try re-reading my thread knowing that I mean the exact opposite of everything I'm saying. That should help.

Wow I should've known, but you were so convincing; you need to apply for that rockets sportswriting position

Let's keep the sarcasm and cheapshots out of the forum. If you can't add anything productive to the thread, don't say it.
