Make your predictions. Don't care if it's all baseless speculation-- but he's vital to us even winning a game. Pretty much the only reason I'm intrigued about this playoffs. So have at it. "Re-evaluation" coming soon after the end of the regular season. I hope he's keeping his conditioning up, so if he gets the go-ahead to play, we don't risk further injury due to fatigue.
I'm going with next season. I think it would be foolish to play him in these playoffs, and I'm going to assume that the Blazers are not going to be foolish regarding their future. However, bringing him back for the games in Portland wouldn't shock me one bit.
I really think him getting some mins for the games in Portland will give him the motivation he needs to keep working this summer. That roar for his return will be huge.
He will play in the playoffs, probably game 3 back here in PDX, but don't be suprised if you see him suit up for game 1
If there is a 51% chance he can play he's going to play. The dude wants to play in the playoffs. Good luck convincing him otherwise.
I hope for G1 next season. Wouldn't be surprised if it's G3 of the POs. Would be shocked if it's G1 of the POs.
If we win three games without Nurk, there's no way we bring him back for Game 7. I shoulda had a round 2 option. :MARIS61:
If we win 3 games without Nurk, his dad will be the only one big enough to keep him off the floor in Game 7. BNM
Oh, I disagree. If we (impossibly) hold serve at home without Nurk, bringing him back for a decider in Oakland would be amazing.
The guy wants to play and he wants to win. Can you imagine how stoked he'd be for a Game 7 return. It would be like the DEN game times infinity. BNM
True, it's gonna be impossible to keep him off the floor if this is just an issue of pain tolerance. Hell, if they say he can't make it worse, but he'll be in pain, I doubt he sits out Game 1.
Either game one or three of the playoffs. I'll go game one. If this was serious enough that they expected a longer than two week return, there's no way Blazer staff would be allowing him to shoot around and do light exercises after practice. It certainly appears that they expect him back at least sometime this season.
It feels like there should be a Chuck Norris/broken leg joke here somewhere but these cold meds have my brain too scrambled to come up with it
I'll say the one thing that could make this untrue is if it is just a pain tolerance thing. At that point worst case scenario would be that he had pain after shooting around. However we saw him shooting around earlier in the week, and now the workout with the teams head Dr yesterday. That to me suggests that he was pain free after the earlier in the week shoot around, and hopefully pain free again after yesterday's workout. I also don't think they are 100% positive when he will be back. I'm sure they will have a much better idea after they run an MRI tomorrow to see how well he is healing. Let's hope he's something like Wolverine.
