Utah have made some good moves in the offseason, and missed out on the playoffs by one game last season. However, other playoff contenders in the West have improved their rosters as well, such as Denver and Phoenix. So where do you think Utah stands compared to other teams in the West? And are they good enough to make the playoffs? If so, how far into the playoffs will they go? I'd say Utah is the 7th best team in the West. By record only........ 1) San Antonio - Great team, and only improved in the offseason. 2) Minnesota - Much the same as last season, and last season was great. 3) Sacramento - Same as Minnesota. 4) Los Angeles Lakers - New look team, but they have a lot of good players. 5) Denver - Adding K-Mart gives them one of the best frontcourt's in the L. 6) Houston - Point Guard problems will hurt them badly. 7) Utah - Got the size needed, and still have the best coach in the L. 8) Dallas - Dampier will really help them out, Nash will be missed. ------------------------ Memphis, LA Clippers, Phoenix, Seattle, Golden State, Portland, New Orleans (no order). I think Utah will get beaten in the First Round.
1) San Antonio - Best team in league and my favorite to win the championship this year 2) Minnesota - With the reigning MVP on the team, it's on fair to put them anywhere outside of the top 4. They have 2 great role players and possible all-stars on the team 3) Sacramento - They won't get to the conference finas, but they are still a powerful team 4) Los Angeles Lakers - They got the most talented player in the word, not to mention the great supporting cast around him. A new and young team. 5) Denver - KMart will really help them improve this year, they got a great looking team. 6) Houston - Without a point guard, I really doubt they'll pass the first or second round, but with TMac and Yao on the team, they are almost guarnateed a playoff spot 7) pheonix - a real talented team with a lot of potential, addition of Qrich and Nash imo, put them inside the playoff picture. 8) utah Jazz boozer will really help out the rebounding and with his strength, and mehmet's decent shooting skills and low post play of both, they really help out the already-good Utah Jazz.
