I'm happy for Fox and glad to see people excited about the Dallas/SD game, but that has to be a little embarassing for the NFL to have their showcase Monday night game (especially a competitve and hyped game) beaten by a Sunday game, especially when much of the Midwest had regional coverage, and I heard NY got the Giants game. Sunday NFL Game Makes Fox Record September 13, 2005 By John Consoli The Sunday (Sept. 11) National Football League game of the Dallas Cowboys against the San Diego Chargers produced the Fox network's highest-rated first week of NFL coverage ever. The game recorded a 13.6/27, 21.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research data. It was also the highest-rated in all key demos and the most watched program of the week in any daypart. ABC's Monday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons also produced solid numbers --a household rating of 13.0/22 and 19.6 million viewers.
Maybe the Cowboys really are "America's Team?" That's unbelievable that a Sunday afternoon game could get higher ratings than Monday Night Football. ABC must be shocked...
errrrr well thats the hype between both teams. When theres a lot of hype then theres a lot of viewers. Even so I am shocked it beat out the Falcons/Eagles but neither dissapointed.
I didn't really care about NFC because I rather watch San Diego since I live here. I had 10 dollars that Falcons would win!
