Not only would they have beaten them but they would have beaten them as they were ranked as a one seed, a two seed, and a one seed. Then assume that Illinois wins and Mich. St. beats them. A lot of assuming but it would be an interesting scenario. Greatest tourny run ever? I think it just might be if it turns out according to plan.
