Will Boston break the Bulls' record of 72 wins?  Will Minnesota break the Sixers' record of 9 wins?  Both?  Neither?

Bostons good start is due to the fact they havnt played anyone or left the east coast.

Boston's good start is due to the fact that they have three superstars, an excellent coaching staff, and a bunch of role players who are giving it 110% every game.

Also put in the best fans in the world, and we're bound to break the record and win it all this year.

So, getting 5 points is giving it 110%?

The Celtics aren't going to break the Bulls record..nobody ever will. The league's equilibrium is too strong and will stay that way. And the Timberwolves are gonna pick it up and grab some wins here and there throughout the season, snagging a few at the end as well when playoff teams will be resting their best players.

    So..neither.

I think it's a little bit ridiculous that you look at points per game to decide whether a player is giving 110% or whether he's giving 50%, especially since you're a Detroit fan. I thought Pistons fans were some of the most aware and knowledgable in sports. No a player's intensity and hustle isn't gauged by his points per game or his field goal percentage. It goes past the numbers. The Celtics have been playing good team defense all year and have bought into a system Coach Rivers placed in front of them months ago. They heard the talk about how weak their bench is and got sick of it so they stepped their game up. There's young players like Big Baby Glen Davis hungry for a spot on the roster and playing time, and there's savvy veterans looking for their chance at a ring. This isn't about who scores the most, especially considering Doc plays the starters 85% of the game, it's about giving quality minutes and building upon leads that the starting unit has put forth for you.
