I know it's early and a player can go on a hot streak, but as of right now do you believe any Suns players will have a chance to be on the all-star team? The obvious candidates are Marion and Marbury. For the forwards, some have fallen off while others have risen up to all-star status. Last year the all-star team contained five forwards: Peja, Marion, Dirk, Duncan, and Garnett. It's obvious that Peja, Duncan, and Garnett are the locks for this year so far. Let's assume they take five forwards again this year. I believe Zach Randolph will be given the fourth spot. The last spot would be between Marion, Dirk, and AK47. Brand would be in but I don't believe he has played enough games to warrant a spot. The only thing that can keep Marion from making the team is the Suns not winning because he is putting up better all-around numbers than both Dirk and Kirilenko. Kirilenko's sudden burst onto the all-star scene may gain him some favor among the coaches as well when they vote for the reserves. I think Marbury should be a lock for the West. No point guard is playing on a higher level in the West than Marbury. An argument can be made for Cassell, but Marbury edges out Cassell in all major statistics. Of course the voting doesn't go by point guards and shooting guards, it just goes by guards in general, but there isn't a high amonut of shooting guards in the West to knock the number one point guard out of the all-star team. So in the end, I can see both Marion and Marbury making the all-star team again, though it will be a whole lot tougher for Marion to do it this year.

Marbury's game has gone through the roof this year. He definitely deserves to get his just minutes on the floor in February.

Don't forget to give props to Marion, he tries hard and is good, as always like I've said before. The best combo of traits. Penny doesn't deserve one, he's a lazy crybaby. He has no heart, effort, not even any dignity anymore.
Ha, I wouldn't put it that badly about Penny. Though his attitude hasn't really been something that the Suns like. He's starting to prove himself to be real good off of the bench for the Suns, even though he does complain sometimes about coming off the bench.
Living in Houston, Francis is the most overrated PG in the whole NBA, and he starts by winning the votes because he has major hops. I really think the coaches should vote for the starters, and the fans vote for the reserves. Francis and Kobe are guaranteed the starting spots. Point guard backups should either be Marbury, Cassell, or Nash in that order. It will be hard for Marion since Peja pretty much has a lock as a reserve. Rashard Lewis has been playing well also. So yeah, Marion's appearance depends on whether the Suns will turn things around or not. Anyone think Zarko has a chance at making the Rookie Team with him being injured and all?
Well they do have to put full rosters out for hte Rookie game so I'm guessing Zarko will get an invitation. He should be healthy by then. The question is if whether or not the Suns want him to play during all-star weekend. The same goes for Amare who will most likely get an invitation for the rookie/soph game as well. Maybe he'll decide to enter the dunk contest again, but I doubt that.
I hope Zarko makes it even if he doesn't play. He was about to tear it up. Once he and Amare come back we will the get the inside scoring we've been missing since their absence. I want to see Harvey, Zarko, and Amare on the floor at the same time.
Well, Starbury is a sure shot. Why? He dropped 40 and still got 10 assists last night. Something you don't see every often. As for Marion, he's done what he usually does, but I don't know... And Hardaway is a great player, but he's a has-been. He's had his All Star appearances back in the day.

That would be a huge boost of energy, but no one in there is really accustomed to playing the center spot.
Yeah, the Suns probably will put in that lineup against teams like the Knicks. I would like to see how that would work for spurts in the game, but nothing too long. I'm hoping a lineup like that would realize that they need to run, not play a half-court type game.
