Who do you think is the better player as of now? I think Barbosa is better. I think Harris is overrated he was beaten in workouts by Jameer Nelson, Livingston and Ben Gordan. They are both 21 years old too and Barbosa has an NBA season under his belt.
I cant say too much about Barbosa because I didnt get to see him play too much last year but I can speak about Devin Harris. I saw him in the summer pro leagues and he really surprised me. I thought harris was overrated also but he proved me wrong. I think Harris will do well in the NBA. I cant say who is better, but I dont think harris is overrated.
I believe Barbosa can be an All-Star in this league. He will benefit greatly from Steve Nash and will learn how to run a team effectively. Barbosa has an excellent 3 point shot, has the length and newly added strength to play great defense (I would say he was solid on defense last year) this year, and as I stated before will greatly improve at the aspect of running a team through his rigorous summer workouts and the addition of Nash. I will also state that Barbosa has spent most of the summer in the Valley working with coaches to greatly improve his game. There is something about Starbosa, he seems to want to be great just like STAT. I think he will in time be an excellent NBA player.
Well from seeing Barbosa many times in person and considering Devin Harris has never played an NBA game, I'm going to say Barbosa. You have to see this guy in person to realize how fast he is. It's incredible! Barbosa has all of the tools to become an all-star in the NBA. Like emannen said, he will benefit from Nash and he has already benefited from Marbury. This year having him come off of the bench is a perfect role for him because he's not ready to be a full-time starter plus his energy off the bench will help tremendously.
I also agree that Barbosa is better. Both of those guys are probably the fastest point guards in basketball (Jason Kidd included). I got a chance to see Devin Harris play in the summer league and he is amazingly athletic. However his basketball IQ is awful. He has no understanding of how to be a point guard and I don't think that he ever will. Barbosa on the other hand has proven that he is much more than just an athlete. He shoots a high percentage, he played tremendous defense as a rookie last season, and he seems to want to be a great player. Playing under Nash will definitely help him and I'm guessing by his fourth year in the league he will be a full time starter and one of the better point guards in the NBA.
Actually fastest PG' you'd have to include Arenas , anyways, I'd say Barbosa, he's got the defense, can hit the three, can get to the basket very easily, is extremely quick and fast, has the ahtleticism, is improving his mid-range game, but needs to be more of a playmaker to become gooood. Barbosa isn't a future All-Star from what I see now though, I don't see him with All-Star potential, but he can be a good PG.

I haven't really been impressed with Barbosa (of what i've seen). He's athletic and has a nice shot, but he can be awfully streaky. Harris is not a point guard. At Wisconsin he played the 2 spot next to Freddy Owens running the point. It's going to be a big adjustment for Devin, so it's going to take some time. He does have the potential to be great. He just needs time and he needs to bulk up.
As of right now, its obviously Barbosa, just because Harris hasnt even seen NBA action yet. I like Barbosa a lot.. hes a good passer, a good post-up shooter, and has very good hands. He'll give Steve Nash more rest than people think he will this year.. Barbosa is good enough to be starting.
