Who can we get for him? We've offered him 4 years, $9 million per. We offered him 3 years, $10 million per. Obviously, he wants something around 4+ years, $10 million per. What are realistic S&T's out there? Is Boozer one? Hinrich? Well, either way, I still think he'll buckle and he'll return to the Lakers.
He's trying to use the Blazers against us, hoping the Millsap thing gets matched already and try to drive up the price. I'm not sure he goes there anyway even if they offer him a nice deal, it is just a scheme. However he might have pissed off some Front Office people now. I could see him getting shipped out these are not good signs for someone coming off the bench.
He should have taken the deal, reminds me of Bonzi Wells playing hardball with Sacto. His only other options are the MLE as the Blazers clearly aren't interested and he doesn't fit OKC's timeline.
Yeah he's trying to use that threat as leverage. I don't know if there is even that much iterest out there.
I think the Jazz are going to match the deal for Millsap, so then LO would be Portland's next potential target. But not sure they're that interested to the point of overpaying.
But like, where are you reading this because Portland had a mild interest in Odom and they passed over him. According to the Portland board, they looked at Odom before Millsap. That is all. You know what is interesting, I just read over @ LG...Odom hasn't even mentioned Artest since the signing which I think is really interesting.
He did, in the Lakers Championship DVD interview. They asked him about it, and he said he was excited at the prospects of playing with his childhood friend. Said it was cool when he was with the Clippers and played with Elton (another childhood friend). Said he would love for it to occur, but at the end of the day, it's business and that comes first. I doubt Portland even wants him. There was a report a while back that stated Portland contacted his agent, and that feelings were "lukewarm," aka not interested. If they lose out on Milsap, they most likely go for David Lee anyways, who is younger, and a much better fit because the entire locker room doesn't hate him.
Well the Portland owner is the richest in the league, I guess he sees himself worthy of that Hedo money the Blazers were about to spend. But the issue is David Lee the player might get offers too, and they haven't given Roy a maximum extension yet which they might want to sort out first.
Here's the interview: It's somewhere in there.
Odom/his agent's stupidity will only land Odom in a weaker team, or with LA but with a lesser contract.
Hahaha! Yeah, all this bullshit is happening, but at the end of the day, I'm sure Odom only stays with LA.
