Best dunker of all time has to be Michael Jordan. He got in the air for so long, and was so good that he got other NBA players mad at him, while usually players like each other. Also, he got the nickname Air Jordan because it seemed he could just float in the air. I think Dwight Howard was the most creative in the dunk contest though.
