There is a similar thread in the NBA Forum and it got me thinking.

I have been torn between J-Rich and Dampier. On one hand, Dampier has carried this team at times, especially with all of the injuries. He has provided that inside presence that the Warriors would have been lacking.

On the other hand, J-Rich is their go to guy and has come up big late in games when Dampier has been sitting on the bench for the entire second quarter.

    What do you guys think?

JR has been a little more consistant then Damp so he would be my choice. Some games it seems like Damp decides to take the night off or dont care. Plus JR is still improving as the year goes on while Damp is just playing for a new contract.

If Speedy had started the whole season with the fire he had before he got injured without a doubt he would be our MVP..even Cardinal is up there too for his hustle which makes the whole team better

I'd have to say JRich, buts what's unfair toward Damp is his lack of playing time in the second half. Muss sat Damp for reasons other than foul trouble many times this past year, so when the game was on the line and JRich was out there looking to lead the team, Damp seemed to be sitting on the bench. That's been one of my biggest complaints about Muss this year, why does he sit people at inopportune times. Its been infuriating.

I'd say Jrich or Claxton. Maybe Claxton a little more because he changes games the most with his awesome speed and quickness. But his style of play offensively really is determined by what the refs decide to call. I've seen so many plays where he forced a layup because he thought he was hit and it was a no call. But I'd say he really makes the difference in the overall game because of his tight defense and ability to take his man off the dribble in an instant. He should have led the league in steals and most free throw attempts had he started and stayed healthier all year long. I guess the reason I say he should be MVP is also because when Speedy started over NVE, the warriors started winning more. They got penetration, they got the other team over the foul limit, and he made his free throws. Something JRich is still learning to do which is crucial to be a go to guy and to be able to score over 20 points per game and get recognized as an MVP. I still love Jrich though because he's got a good attitude about improving his game, plus he's the warrior with the most tenure next to Damp and Foyle and he seems to be happy in Oakland now that he's the man.
