Bowa, has the best team in the NL east and isnt getting it done. The others dont have best team in their divisions.Cowher has marginal talent, Paterno won 10 games two years ago!!! and andy reed has a qb who just cant get it done.

Moron4Life, The phillies have the #4 run scoring offense in the National League. They have(by sportsline rankings) the #31,#76,#80,#120 ranked Starting pitchers in the league. so that means those pitchers would fall as the best #2 guy on any staff, two solid #3's and a #4, which is not great but it is solid. especially when you consider that the top 30 pitchers are spread out between like 10 teams anyway. Which means their #1 is better than the #1 of 15 teams. So do not tell me they have no starting pitching. With the run support that offense generates they should be able to win plenty of games as long as when the games are close bowa manages them well(which he doesnt)
Wow!!! Yet another example how you can show you lack of knowledge of the game, but you can support it with stats. Screw stats. I see the Phillies every day. Yes, the scoring is nice, but when you lead the league with runners left in scoring positions, what does that tell you. Ed Wade (general manager) built this team to win with homeruns, and a lot of times they do. But this team has no speed, has absolutely zero ability of playing small ball. And trust me, they have NO pitching. Here are our starting pitchers, Wolf 3.82 ERA (good, but he's been injured half the year) Myers 5.60 ERA Abbot 6.23 ERA Millwood 4.91 ERA Milton 4.40 ERA That is just atrocious. The only team we seem to be able to beat are the Cubs and Expos. If they dont make a trade, they will finish behind Florida and Atlanta.
Wolf has not been injured half the year. He has pitched 101 innings which is basically what all the pitchers on the team have pitched(high was 128). I have shown you where your pitchers rank in league oyu have 4 solid starters who conisitently preform. The phillies are also 5th in stolen bases in the National League(not bad for a team with no speed). I am not saying that adding Benson would be a bad thing, i am just saying bowa has enough to win, does not get it done(that is why he is worst coach in PA). Come with facts not opinions. bears, its more than stats with this team, look at their stats since mid-june, and every1 is underperforming. i also have watched just about everygame, and ill tell u they have no heart. bowa is a good manager and is not the problem they players hate bowa, they are using him as a scapegoat for their failures. Mr. Roberto Heredez has balls ripping bowa, because god forbid roberto pitches a inning in relief w. out giving up 4 runs, wagner is a pussy to, polonco is bitching about trade rumors being the reason hes batting 260, Burrell is trying to hit every pitch a HR, and sees a inside pitch and jumps out like its pedro gunning for his head, we have no CF, Lieberthal also has nuts talking all that shit, when hes dead last in the league with RISP, god forbid he doesnt hit a infield pop-up when theres runners on 2nd, and 3rd with 1 out, thome only hits HR when were winning 10-2 or losing 15-3, our pitching sucks, myers thinks hes the man but sucks and doesnt want to learn, millwood is a nice guy, but is out of shape, we have 5 minor league pitchers, Abbot, Geary, Hankok, Powell, roberto herendez sucks ass. if anything, wade should be fired, and the team should implode and keep Rollins, Madson Abreu and Bell and u said glanville has speed? hes the last man on the bench
I will agree that thome is not playing well in late inning situations with pressure or in LIP with runners on(.121 BA), however he does draw a fair amount of walks iin these situations which shows he is being pitched around and is probably pressing too much.
The whole phillies team are guttless little pukes, except ROllins, Bell, Abreu and Madson. theres no leaders, and there all sensitive, uptight heartless pricks that need e excuse for their failures(burrell, herendez, wagner, myers, polonco, etc.) Thome doesnt have balls to talk, because he wants his boy Charlie Emaneul who was the tribes manager to take bowas spot. the only reason emaneaul is here is because Wade made him a "special assistant to the GM" to help lure Thoe here.
