The Toronto Blue Jays trade away perhaps baseball's greatest pitcher, and two months into the season, their pitching has never been better. Go figure. "There's a slew of arms in the organization that are starting to actually make it pretty exciting,'' Blue Jays president Paul Beeston told the Toronto Globe and Mail. "I don't think I've felt better about this organization since the early 80's. The Jays, despite trading Roy Halladay to the Phillies, have won five of their last six games. They have produced an American League-leading 18 quality starts in their first 28 games, with Ricky Romero (3-1) leading the way with five. The starting rotation also leads the league with 177 innings pitched, and 153 strikeouts. http://content.usatoday.com/communi...eds-doc-blue-jays-thriving-without-halladay/1
We're getting lucky I'd have to stay staying healthy but the pitching staff is playing out of their minds right now and not to mention the hitting. The whole team is clicking and it's good to see. As a team coming in to a season pegged to get completely destroyed, we're in contention for a Wild Card spot and a shot at the division, but that entitles some Rays and Yanks free-fall.
