AFC will be a battle this year plus i'm not to up to date on all the teams but here are my predictions anyway New England-Adding Corey Dillon is the icing on the cake Indianapolis-I believe this team is now mature enough to play in the big one Baltimore-Defense wins championships, and a mediocre offense tags along Kansas City-This offense should dominate like last season *Tennessee-Even though losing some people McNair is still a great leader *Cincinatti-I would like to see them just get there that's all. maybes Dolphins-If the QB curse leaves them Denver-Griffin has a lot to carry on his shoulders.. NFC should be an interesting one to hear about Minnesota-Tice has been scratching this itch for years, this could be the year St. Louis-I think Bulger can do it, also Stephen Jackson will be able to replace Marshall Faulk when he gets hurt Philly-God, come on. Let's not turn into the 89-93 Bills, almost there. New Orleans-I'm a dam Saints fan, plus i think the defense should be healthy this year, along with Brooks and his dam shananigans. *Atlanta-Vick wants revenge *Dallas-Parcells WILL get another taste maybes Seattle-this team could easily replace anyone in my picks Washington-Gibbs could either take his time or full throttle. I can see it now What about Green Bay? the team has talent, just not enough this year
I say Favre gets the Pack back into the playoffs. I don't see New Orleans making the cut this season. Tennessee lost some people. Even if they make it (and they might), benching Kitna in favor of Palmer when Kitna was playing so well places the Dolphins firmly ahead of the Gals this year in my book.
St Louis has no D and other than Torry Holt alll the skill players sucked last year. I don't see the Rams making it to the post season. Seattle will win the NFC West. Atlanta? Vick's transition to the WCO will be painful this yr and the D lacks as well.
I reserve the right to change my mind by Labor Day. AFC Pats - no comment neccesary Colts - Manning will try & fail AGAIN lol Ravens - Lewis will carry them into the playoffs Chiefs - Just take Ravens comment & insert *Holmes* Broncos - Only West team with a D Jaguars - Surprise! Leftwich can play with the big boys. NFC Redskins - Gibbs revives a dead franchise. Vikings - Moss & Co recover with a bang. Panthers - Hey maybe they are for real. Rams - Their D isn't as bad as u think. Eagles - McNabb & T.O. take awhile to get on page Seahawks - Benefit from a weak division. Omitted: Bengals - They've got a very tuff schedule. Packers - The D is weak & Favre is on his last leg. Dolphins - QB issues haven't been solved. Titans - Loss of key players & a tuff division.

Parcells will bring this team back and back again untill it's a done deal.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>I reserve the right to change my mind by Labor Day. The Rams D is not as bad as I originally thought; its worse.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (bakes781)</div><div class='quotemain'>Cowboys D was not quite as good as the #s indicated. The offense is a couple years away IMO.</div> I totally agree on both of these comments. However, their #s didn't get them into the playoffs, but their play did. They were on the bottom half of turnovers and sacks, so they didn't overperform there. They did something right somewhere. Overall, they upgraded their defense and offense this year. I see them as a bubble team.

I'm not sold on the Broncos yet, though. They lost almost half of their offensive production when they traded away Portis. Bailey will help the D, but honestly, in the AFC West there aren't really any big receiver threats (other than the Raiders group) for Bailey to take care of. There defense will be good, but whether or not it's going to be great is TBD I think. They'll get a good early test though when they play Kansas City in the season opener. Also, we'll see what happens when Plummer yet again has to carry a team by himself, the same way he did in Arizona. No Portis, no Sharpe, no McCaffrey, and a Rod Smith who's numbers have decreased the last three years. Not to mention an offensive line that lost a great coach and has some players being forced to play out of their natural positions because they don't seem to have the right personnel. Time will only tell though.

IMO, the secondary has improved w/ Lynch & Bailey. The LB corps, however, is unproven other than Al Wilson. The D Line was not all that spectacular last yr. After B. Berry signed w/ Arizona, this area is even more questionable. I'm sorry but Plummer has yet to prove he is all that. Portis in Washington means that Rod Smith is the only proven weapon. Bottom line; it could be a long season in the Mtn time zone. Especially at my house, if Feidler is the Phins starting QB.
