Got anyone in mind to replace Larry "Not A Legend" Miller?

What about Phil Jackson? Not up for coaching, but he could do a good job providing a high-level vision to the staff beneath him. Like him or not, the guy has basketball pedigree, and knows what about an organization wins championships. Hire Shaw as head coach and keep the bloodlines strong!

I wonder if PA might not hire one for a while. Let Olshey do his thing.

I dont think the Trail Blazers need a basketball/GM type guy for President. Olshey can handle managing all that. The President needs to focus more on the business side, IMO.

Hillary Clinton? I don't think Biden will run.

Oh, of the Blazers? Can Olshey be pres & GM? Not that unusual. And PA can save the salary to sign a point guard.

He would probably be the best candidate out there. However I'm not so sure how well that would sit with Blazer Fans (Me). It's like going into business with the man who stole your wife and proceeded to flaunt in your face for years to come.

Mitt Romney will be needing a job and thinks he's qualified.

How about Erin Hubert? She was former VP of the Blazers and stepped down in 2003. She was a finalist to replace Bob Whittset and the Blazers picked Steve Patterson instead. She is now a VP with Entercom radio.

I think Jackson would be a direct conflict of interest with the General Manager you just hired which isn't fair to Olshey. If Jackson was interested before. He probably should have been interviewed for the gig before making a decision on Olshey.

Why would Phil Jackson be a good president? What exactly is the president supposed to do?

He would be a good president much for the same reasons Larry Bird was a good President. The name is a draw itself. It will sell tickets if for no other reason it gives fans hope that maybe just maybe the ship is sailing in the right direction. Second of all, Phil is a smart guy. I feel pretty confident he could figure the whole thing out. If Riles can do it, If Larry can do it. So can he.

No way! He'll get Jimmer Ferdette and then outsource the rest of the positions to Yi Jianlian.
