<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Heat has a $1.6 million lower salary exception for one free agent and a $5.4 million mid-level exception that could be split between two players. Riley also has high-school hope Dorell Wright, the 19th pick in last month's draft, whom the Heat hasn't signed and thus could trade considering the future is now and not three developmental years away. That's what getting O'Neal does. It instantly makes the Heat a preferred destination for some free agents. They know as opponents double- and triple-team O'Neal that they'll get open shots, better looks and potentially padded numbers. Why do you think forward Rodney Rogers' agent, James Williams, said, "We are very interested in the Miami Heat"? Former O'Neal teammates such as Lakers free agents Derek Fisher and Karl Malone also have expressed an interest in the Heat, as has Spurs free agent Robert Horry. In a perfect world, with equal talent at all positions, the Heat would prefer (a) a ball-handling small forward and ( a back-up point guard. The money would be spent in that order, too.</div> Your view? _
Where did that come from? Thats a bunch of names I figured one or two people but hell Robert Horry? I think the heat may have jumped the gun in Signing Doleac and blowing some cash on him. I think Wade and Jones will be sufficient at the guards they need more big men and a versatile 3. A pure shooter may be a good idea too, someone to stand outside and bomb away as wade and shaq fill up the middle.
I wanted to go after Rodney White, Richie Frahm (shooter), Fred Hoiberg, and any other good defender/shooters are always welcome (Rodney White isn't part of the good defender/shooter lst but could be our starting SF).
Ya i too heard on Sports Center that Gary Payton and Robert Horry want to come to Miami Remember Shaq is a VERY good recruiter. He can get a lot of big names to head over to Miami. Its all a matter of time.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ice:</div><div class="quote_post">KARL MALONE! Oh wait, it appears he's looking to jump on another wagon - The Spurs.</div> karl malone just ones a ring. he's a mercenary. If he goes to the spurs... and they don't make the playoffs damn, then next year expect him to try and get on the pistons roster or who ever wins the title this season.
I just hope they dont sign to old of guys they need to keep the exciting style, I think a shooter is a good idea, Brent barry would have been perfect, Maybe peeler or hoiberg.
