hey we gotta start talking about it sometime. most people r assuming the Lakers are going to win it all. just like they were assuming the Lakers were goign to win it all when they took on Michael Jordans Bulls more than a decade ago. u dont know whats going to happen.. People shouldnt rulle out the Kings. theyre still the deepest team in the league and Brad Miller will make them a lot stronger. The Spurs still have the MVP Tim Duncan and one hell of a team behind him. Some people think the wolves will contend. obviously the east will not win the title this year again
The Kings got rid of Keon Clark. That was a huge blow to them. I'm still leaning on the Lakers. Though, I won't rule out the TWolves or the Nets.
i have to say the lakers jus cus of sheer dominance and i think kobe will go crazy if he gets the opportunity to play this year depending on the court ruling, i think spurs r the next closest cus of timmy d and then the kings just behind them , i doubt that the t-wolves will contend but they could b suprising!
I'm going Spurs. Tim Duncan is unstoppable and I don't think the Lakers can play well together. I'm expecting them to have a bumpy road, but if they don't have any team chemistry problems they'll be hard to beat.
do you think that the lakers will have many chemistry problems? i mean they are all veterans who now how to win and they all want to win, i think they all mite b on the same page and if so they will win the title

AAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA! if u tink the east is gonna win it all this year you need to go back and whathc some more basketball from teh last 5 seasons. how is kobe gonna "go crazy" this year? how could the refs POSSIBLY give him more calls than they already give him. hes the refs golden boy everyone knows that and wont score as much with healthy shaq and malone and payton around. he shouldnt. he's not the best player on that team and not one of the two most efficient scorers. they all need their shots. tehyre all big stars with big egos. its gonna take time for them to learn to play together
i think kobe will b pumped cus of all the stuff he has gone through and all the other guys will b pumped to win the championship and i think theyll do nething it takes!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting t-mac:</div><div class="quote_post">do you think that the lakers will have many chemistry problems? i mean they are all veterans who now how to win and they all want to win, i think they all mite b on the same page and if so they will win the title</div> What I mean is, when did a triangel have 4 corners?. But more specifically I can't see Karl Malone being content just to let his points per game half and sit back and supposedly cruise to a title. That's pretty much the case for all 4 of their stars. Especially Kobe.
u could b rite. im just assuming that the veterans like shaq, mailman and gp have some maturity and will accpet that theyre all not going to have monster numbers in order to win a championship!
the stuff kobes going thru this summer could just as easily hurt his game as help it. Kobe likes to focus on being the best but right now he has to focus on making sure he doesnt go to jail
yeh i agree with that but wen it comes down to it he is still kobe and i think he will come through, i think he is the key to the lakers sucsess this season
I think the wolves will be big contenders this season. As much as i would love for the wolves to have the easiest run possible in order to win.. i think i would b the most pumped up person to see them bang with the lakers or the spurs in the playoffs (not that sacramento or dallas would b easy).. this season is going to be really exciting especially come playoff time, im going for the wolves all season long and think the title will be between basically anyone in the west
yes i agree with spree. its obvious that the champion team will come from the west and it will definetley b either 1. lakers 2. spurs 3. sactown 4. dallas 5. t-wolves there will b some awesome match ups even from the first round in the western playoffs. i cant wait till the season gets underway so we can see how its is gunna shape up!
Lakers should and will win it. The East has no chance, the Kings best chance was 2 seasons ago, the Spurs are done and will really miss not having D-Rob and Speedy on the team. The TWolves will make it to round 2 and possibly round 3 if they can go on a hot streak down the stretch, but they will be outplayed by the Lakers Big 4. The Lakers have been playing with 5 players for a long time, so why would the triangle offense be effected by having 4 scorers? If you understand the triangle you will realize all you need are two players to carry the load of the offense and the rest of the players on the team are there to space out the court and make occassional jump shots. Karl Malone and Gary Payton have played against the triangle and have been in the league long enough to understand how it works and will fit it immediately. I still think the Lakers need one for SF who can knock down the 3, and I hope we can some how add Walt Williams to the squad, he would fit in perfectly.
yeh i have no doubt that the lakers can win it all. are the lakers going to sign walt. he is a great perimiter shooter and another veteran he would b a great asset 2 the team
Lakers or Spurs will win it..darkhorse the wolves Kings had their chance the last 4 years when teams rosters wasn't so good as it is now...but didn't get the job done..lakers improved big time so did spurs..and wolves...and the kings are no longer the deepest team in the league IMO...that goes to the spurs....kings lost 3 key bench players hedo, pollard and clark..not good....for the injury prone kings
i think if webber can stay healthy he will take the kings deepinto the playoffs and especially wif peja
Thats the thing though..he can never stay heathly..no matter what..IMO i think they downgraded this off-season was losing Hedo/Pollard/Clark for Brad Miller worth it? Miller is a soild player..13 and 8..but in the east....he does play a little soft...and did not show up at all in the playoffs...he tends to settle for that jump shot more than posting up going to the basket..
