Ive seen a few threads which turned into a debate about who is a real lakers fan and who is not?! I actually its an unimportant question, if you support the lakers the other fans should be happy to have more of their kind even if theyre not "really" lakers fans. Yeah, there are bandwagon fans, so what? Whats the big deal about that? And if you dont like Kobe, youre not a lakers fan? I would really want to know what you guys actually think about that issue. It seems to be a problem with lakers fans [IMG]

If you support and follow a certain team, you're a fan. I think the reason why so many people dislike Laker fans is because there are a lot of fans that started claiming to be Laker fans when they became successful, which is very common. These Lakers have been good for so long that their fans have become arogant, much like Yankee fans. Do I blame them? No. Hell, I would be arogant to if my team won 3 titles in a row.

A real fan supports their team, but still remains level headed through it all. Making claims such as 'Kobe is the best player' is biased, and inaccurate. They need to realize that there are better players out there (KG, Duncan)

Personally, I'm not a fan of Kobe, but I'd never question his game or desire. I respect him as a player, but thats about it.

Most LA fans are cocky, but like Rudeezy said, anyone who supports a team that has won 3 straight titles would be.

IMO, Real fans (for any team) are the ones that stick with their team through thick and thin...Regarding the LAkers, I would just ask a so-called "Laker fan" about (one of my favorite LAkers) Sedale Threatt...if they say "who?", then they fail the real laker fan test....

I admit I was one of the guys that made arguments about the true Laker fan. LOL, but if you ask me, I don't like bandwagoners. I like a fan that has supported the team for years, that can break down the Lakers strengths and weaknesses, and most importantly, someone that loves the 10 other guys on the bench besides Shaq and Kobe. I'm someone that fits all these three categories. And I think that's one of the traits that makes a true Laker fan.

Sedale Threatt was one of the guys that played for the Lakers from 94-95 and 95-96.

Well, he played with the lakers from 91' or 92' till when they drafted Fisher (1996?)....

The followup question would be "what did he have to do to make his jumper more effective?" [IMG]

With "Laker_Fever" as your name, you're definitly a Laker fan...but regardless, u should be ashamed of yourself for not being able to pass the simple Sedale Threatt test :P

Here's another Laker quiz question. Who was the wannabe Pat Riley coaching clone of the Lakers?

I'll just pretend that I didn't see shape's question coz I don't know the answer.

It's really hard to say who the real LA fans are by basing it on them loving the team even if it sucks. Coz just like what Rudeezy said, they've been very good for long. Wanna know how a real fan looks like? Look at Accord and his season tickets for the Heat. [IMG]

We knew who the real Laker fans were in last years playoffs, I seem to remember at least 10 fans on here last year heading into the post season, when Spurs knocked L.A out there was only about 3 or 4 still around. Of course as soon as Lakers signed Karl and Gary new fans appeared.

Lets see what happens this year, If Lakers somehow manage to take home the title I expect there to be around at least 10 more fans joining JBB.

...or are really young. I was 10 in 1996 and there is no way I would remember who he was by watching him. I do know who he is though because my dad has mentioned him on occasion.

Yeah Steve Lavin, I had a brain fart. I'm not sure about the Sedalle question, but I do know Threatt is the only player to have been a teammate of Julius Erving, Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson.

    wow, that's interesting, I didn't know that...

Regarding my question, I thought everyone knew but I might of phrased it kinda funny, but what I was referring to was Sedale's tendency to take a dribble to the left before taking a jumper...Even when he was wide open, he would take one dribble to his left before he shot...I guess it was a rhythm thing for him...when he had the chance to go left, he was automatic...
