That's easy. I will take TMac. TMac actually plays defense, unlike Vince, and he is just the better player. He is also the better rebounder, and he scores more when healthy.Vince may be the better shooter, but both are very inconsistent at times, and they rely on the jumper too often.
t-mac hasnt even played on a winning team yet! he hasnt shown leadership to lead his team past the 1st round of the playoffs!when vince has lead his team to the eastern conference semi-finals!AND DONT TELL ME VINCE HAD TALENT AROUND HIM IN TORONTO BECAUSE HE DIDNT!WHEN T-MAC ON THE OTHER HAND HAS HAD PLAYERS LIKE:YAO MINGGRANT HILLso i pick VINCE!
How weak was the East when Carter took his team to just a couple more wins than T-Mac? T-Mac had Grant Hill....I think they played together 3 years didn't they? And in those 3 years Grant Hill had a grand total of 47 games played. Not really a good teammate and the Magic had a crappy team. He did have Yao and they took a good Mavericks team to game 7. Vince Carter really hasn't won much either. Losing in the 2nd round doesen't make you a better winner than anyone. I would take T-Mac because of what others have said, but I like both and would've liked to see what they could've done if they both stayed in Toronto.

And don't even say "T-Mac has had Grant Hill." I think I have played more games than Grant Hill, lol not really, but Hill is done. And last year, both T-Mac and Yao were hurt. In 04-05, Houston had a good team and went to game 7 of round 1. They choked and lost by 40, but hey it was Dallas. But I will say T-Mac here. Both of these guys are obviously incredibly talented, but T-Mac is the better player. They are both deadly scorers, but Tracy gets the edge. Vince gets his rebounds on nothing but his athleticism, while Tracy actually gets in there and will fight for boards. Tracy has the better court vision and he is the better passer, and more of a team player. Defensively it's no contest, Tracy outplays and outworks Vince on the defensive end, and defense is big with me. And in clutch situations, forget about it - T-Mac any day of the week. While Tracy has never gotten past the first round, he is still more of a leader. Vince is a guy to come in, do his thing, and that's it. Tracy will try to mentor some guys and he is more vocal on the court. Vince is vocal, but it's not team oriented, it's screaming after he dunks on someone. If T-Mac and Yao can stay healthy for a good portion of the season, the Rockets will make some noise, and they will be lead by the one and only Tracy McGrady. Here's the difference - T-Mac gets his team going, Jason Kidd gets the Nets going. Tracy McGrady - Vince Carter
If you guaranteed the person wouldn't have injuries, then T-Mac. Otherwise Vince. But I agree with clangus, I preferably would have neither. Give me the Matrix.

TMac would be one of the best in this league had he not been injured. On the other hand Carter has been playing his best his whole career and many wouldnt mention him in the top ten induvidual players.TMac is much much better overall... bottom line.
I'll take T-Mac too. I don't care if he's had a few more injuries, it's not like Carter is Mr. Durable either. Only thing Carter might have on T-Mac is dunking.

Just flashy and as long as you can get it in the basket it's the same 2 points
