i just wanted to know a little about the new players were gonna get. i know who they are, but not about thair playing styles, what thorn is planning for them, etc.
What Thorn is planning? who knows. Harris: Speedy point guard that can get to the rim at will, can't shoot, can't pass very well. Diop: Good defensive player, very little offense. Can rebound, block shots. Ager: who knows, got very little time in Dallas. Hassell: older version of Wright with larger contract but less upside.

I don't know anything about Hassel or Ager. Diop is Jason Collins with better legs. Harris is very fast and can get to the rim at any time and he has a decent mid range jumper.

QUOTE (Me)

But he is also making a lot of money. It's important to be sure with him, because if he doesn't improve his value could plummet because of his contract. He is worth a lot right now. I'm not as down on him as cpawfan, though. I like his size and defense and I think he was very raw and is still improving. I don't agree that he is a poor passer or has below average court vision, but I do think he has to think too hard about playing the point and isn't instinctual enough yet - especially in the halfcourt. That will be jarring to watch for fans used to possibly the most natural and instinctive PG of all-time. He still fits better with Carter and Jefferson than Kidd, though. He isn't a great shooter, but he's still a lot more reliable than Kidd. He can also create offense and he is a tremendous finisher both in the halfcourt and on the break. He's also a lot better defensively than Kidd. He plays intense defense for the whole game, not just a few possessions when he isn't tired and the last two minutes of the game like Kidd. I think the Nets have actually improved with this trade. The only way we'll know if the Mavs have improved is in the 4th quarter of playoff games, when Dirk is pulling his disappearing act and Kidd makes a few key plays that are the difference between winning and losing. That's what this trade was all about.
Link.

Harris=Quick Point guard with an average jumpshot. Plays superb defense and he is pretty athletic for a point guard. Average passer though. Ager=““ Diop=People, stop comparing him to Collins. Diop is a good rebounder, shotblocker, defender, and is somewhat athletic. Hassel=wright 1.1 and an ugly contract
Ager is supposedly pretty athletic and can hit the 3-point shot pretty regularly--I think he was at around 45% in the "D" league. I don't know much else about him but heres a video.
