Hey, just going through some options and potential trade proposals...for the LONG TERM, between Boykins and McInnis....and then between Swift and Wilcox, which guard and which center will be the better one to keep on your team in H2H league? Plus... is E.Jones & Wilcox or E.Jones & McInnis for J.Johnson too lopsided? What about EJ/Wilcox or EJ/McI for JRich? Thanks!
McInnis is better. Boykins is only a 5'5 guy who won't post monster stats like he did yesterday, and McInnis is one of the best underrated point guards in the league. Wilcox is better. Swift has already proven that he's a solid bench player at best while Wilcox still has a bright future. He may turn out to be the next Jermaine O'Neal. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Plus... is E.Jones & Wilcox or E.Jones & McInnis for J.Johnson too lopsided?</div> It's lopsided. Joe Johnson is better than all 3 of them and he is going to be a future star, but that's just giving up too much. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">What about EJ/Wilcox or EJ/McI for JRich? </div> I won't comment on this one.
For guard, I'd also take McInnis, but with reservations. For Center, I'd take Swift. If the Nuggets don't trade for another guard, Boykins will produce slightly better numbers than McInnis particularly with a better FT, steal, and three-point rate. But on the other hand, there's little chance that the Cavs will take away minutes from McInnis, who has already played over 40 minutes a game to Boykins' 30. The Cavs are also doing well this year and don't have anyone else behind McInnis and Snow at SG or PG so they'll be very consistent and no matter what should continue to produce. So, although McInnis hasn't had any huge assist or scoring games yet, he'll probably be the safer pick - guaranteed minutes, and minutes equals production. As far as Swift, he's a great shotblocker. He'll be up and down in his scoring and rebounding, but over the season, he'll provide at least a block or two a game. With the dismissal of Bo Outlaw, he's been getting more minutes than previous years and has always played very well despite limited minutes. Wilcox is starting right now, but he's going to lose minutes when Kaman returns. It's really uncertain if he will keep up his stats with those minutes. He also will not provide the same shotblocking stats, or even close, as Swift. As far as the trade, maybe try Jones & Wilcox for Johnson, or maybe he'll consider McInnis & Wilcox. It's a tough trade because I was high on Eddie coming into the season, but after his second game, he's been averaging a wonderful total of about 5 points a game because Wade and Shaq are going crazy. I don't think he'll continue to be such a low scorer, so you might want to stick with him. I would stay away from J-Rich right now, you might want to propose Jones for J-Rich straight up, though the other owner probably wouldn't take that. J-Rich is a good rebounder and the primary scoring option, but he's in big scoring funk, shooting under 35% and turning the ball over like crazy.

Boykins will likely get a minutes decrease, so McInnis but depends on what you need. Stromile is better because he get's you blocks, and Wilcox's minutes will decrease when Kaman returns, so they'll be playing about the same. Definately too lopsided, JJ doesn't hit many three's, EJ hit's a lot, and their's nothing JJ will give you that warrants such a trade, it'd be horrible.

I guess he was working on it during the offseason, but he's making almost 3 a game at 56% (14 for 25). Because Phoenix puts five loaded offensive players on the court a lot, it actually helps JJ get open looks, or at least single-coverage. It doesn't look like he'll stop shooting threes, considering he must be pretty confident about it to shoot 5 a game. EJ isn't even shooting as many per game so far, and although he should come around, he's just not hot right now.
