Assuming that everyone thinks that Dallas, Phoenix, and San Antonio are the 3 best team in the league, who do you think is the 4th best team. If none of those teams existing in the game, and all of the players on their team werent there either, who do you think would win the championship?
Utah. they have been the 4th best team for most the season and have fallen a bit due to injuries and stupidty. Yet they have consistantly proven to be able to beat everyone in the league except New Jersey.
It's pretty much between Detroit, Utah, the Lakers, and the Cavs. It's Detroit though. They have great options on offense, and even without Big Ben, we can still play amazing defense.
Can you really put San Antonio in the top 3 Ballerman? I mean I know they are your team but after Pheonix and Dallas it's pretty open. Pretty much with the teams SunnyD said and San Antonio. The Spurs do have some holes in their team, easily seen last night against Boston when they gave up their 15+ point lead in the 3rd quarter.
IMO, Detriot are being very underrated because of their record, but since Webber got there, theyve been on fire. I think they have a better lineup than Phoenix...that doesn't mean a better team though.

The Lakers are only one game better than the Nuggets....I'd put the Rockets ahead of the Lakers.

Yeah, Lakers could be the 4th best, but not with all the trouble. They were at one time the 4th best team IMO.But it's detroit, no doubt in my mind.
Wow, this is how pathetic the NBA has gotten, the Lakers are being talked about as the 4th best team in the NBA...yikes.

I think when both teams are healthy they are right about the same.I think it's Utah, they have had a few losses lately but I still think they'd beat the Pistons. Detroit is #5 and a healthy Houston and LA behind them. Then you could put the Cavs...

SA is clearly in the top 3 teams, and if you want to debate anything, you can debate if SA is actually the second best team, or possibly even the best team with they way they've played in the past month. As for the 4th best team...To me it's between Utah and Detroit. The Lakers when healthy, if that's a determining factor, and the Rockets are close, also when healthy.I don't buy the Cavs in the top 5 or 6 teams at all, and Miami is a team to look out for, if Wade comes back relatively healthy too.
I never said the Lakers were the 4th best team in the NBA... If you read, I said Detroit was. Then you said the Rockets are better than the Lakers... your obviously just going by records, which is wrong.

They handled Detroit last time they played them, and the only other team IMO that you could consider as the 4th best is Utah. Before their last 2 losses, they did go on a 13 game winning streak. Phoenix and Dallas are obviously the 2 best teams in the league, but San Antonio is the easy choice for the 3rd best IMO.

Point being that performance against good teams doesn't mean too much if you can't beat the bad ones
