To me, it's a tie between Joakim Noah and Kevin Durant. I mean, KD already has the NBA Live 07 Commercials. And unlike alot of other college stars, we didn't have them shoved down our throat (I.e. JJ Redick), so I won't mind seeing them often in advertisments.Greg Oden is far from marketable. He'll be an awesome player, but he'll probably be as marketable as Patrick Ewing was.

I have a feeling people are going to start putting Oden in the same boat as Duncan as far as being exciting. Most marketable? Kevin Durant without a doubt.

It's clearly Kevin Durant. People love to see big scorers who are tough and dazzle the crowd. Kevin Durant does this to perfection, EA sports has already targeted him. Look at the guys who are marketed by Addidas: Gilbert Arenas, Tracy McGrady, Chauncey Billups, and Tim Duncan. Also notice that you very very rarely see a Tim Duncan commercial.Nike loves Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Shawn Marion, Chris Paul, Rasheed Wallace, and all those second coming guys.Converse has Dwayne Wade..These shoe company's know that players who dazzle the crowd will sell and that's what Durant does.

Most marketable second rounder? Glen "Big Baby" Davis. I heard he is a contestant on Shaq's new show. Go Big Baby!

Durant pretty ovbiously. The high flying, exciting wing man always are the most marketable and famous.Oden is marketable to a point. Ovbiously because hes a great player, and the top pick, but hes not a handsome dude and dosent play exciting. The comparison to Ewing was spot on.To whoever said Noah...no way. I think the companys know how lowly that guy is thought of inside the basketball fan circles.Theres like 3 people in the world who actually like that guy.

Oden is marketable to some extent, I don't know why everyone's saying he's going to have a Duncan persona, he is going to have somthing simler but I don't think there all that close when it comes to speaking out, I think Oden is a little more out there than Duncan was at a younger age, which defently works in the favour of Oden being pretty marketable, which I say he will.

I personally like Oden a lot though. He's not a prick like a lot of young players seem to be, he's very personable, and when they do interviews with him, it doesn't seem like he's reading off a card like everyone else.

Stuckey is a pretty marketable guy. I think once he develops we will see him become more common. Just from watching the press conference you really get that he's an easy-going fella. Probably be a nice rep for a company someday.

Patrick Ewing was very marketable, he was the centerpiece of the most marketable franchise in the NBA for over a decade and was very much in the spot-light. Great big men get alot of marketability, just look at shaq.

Re: Who's the most Marketable rookie?

Mike Conley Jr. and his pops are in discussions with Addidas, Reebok and Nike about a Conley shoe...which would be awesome, Im pretty sure Memphis has never had a player with their own shoes. Most marketable is easily Durant though, no competition with him.

    1. Yi Jianlian... China... enough said.2. Kevin Durant is arguably the most marketable. He's everybody's favorite player, he's eye candy, and he's a good kid (yeah austingriz, I said kid about a guy that's the same age as me, do something about it [IMG] ).3. Greg Oden is marketable. "The next great big man" slogans come out quicker than diarrhea.4. Mike Conley is a franchise point guard, he is marketable, although he is playing in Memphis.5. Brandan Wright, if he pans out, can be.6. Rodney Stuckey, if he lives up to his potential, has a style of play similar to D-Wade that could make him somewhat marketable.

The PF position in the NBA has a lot of competition, and I don't even know if Yi will even start this year. You've got Chris Bosh, Jermaine O'Neal, Rasheed Wallace, Al Jefferson, Zach Randolph, Emeka Okafor, and Antawn Jamison. No way Yi is an All-Star as long as those guys are still in the East.

Re: Who's the most Marketable rookie?

I'd be willing to bet he is an all-star. Not necessarily because he'll be deserving, but we've got about 3x more people in China sitting on their computers thinking of ways to be more Yi. He'll get the same amazing and unnecessary amount of votes Yao has been getting.I do agree with CB32 that he will not be deserving, but with any decent numbers he'll be in.

I believe he will make the all-Star team. Remember Yao's rookie season? Yi's probably even more popular. China's got a lot of people. And most of them have internet access probably. Edit: Oops didn't read previous post. He pretty much summed it up also.
