KG and B-Diddy! Baron is from Compton right? Kevin may aswell be a California kid seeing as he has loads of homes in LA. The perfect team! Our big man and point gaurd problems will be solved! Bring on another 3-peat.

I think we have a legit chance of landing one or two of those big free agents like Davis or KG.

Gilbert Arenas - Forget it, Arenas has stated he wants to stay in Washington. Washington wants Arenas. He's their franchise.

Ron Artest - If he's still in the NBA, he'll only want to play for the Knicks.

Andrew Bogut - Milwaukee's future. Not leaving.

Elton Brand - With the Clippers new found success, I don't think he'll be leaving, either.

Andrew Bynum - Better retain him, he's turning out to be our future.

Baron Davis - VERY POSSIBLE. I think Baron will want to play for an L.A. team.

Ike Diogu - I Think Golden State will want to keep him. He's been a pleasant surprise

Tim Duncan - Haha, I wish.

    Raymond Felton - I actually think he's a possibility, I'd love him in L.A.

Steve Francis - Keep him away.

    Channing Frye - I think he'll be a Knick, they'll keep him.

Francisco Garcia - I'd like Garcia, even though he's a King. He has a sweet stroke that's only going to get better.

Kevin Garnett - Possible. He has more than a couple of homes in the L.A./Malibu area, he is also great friends with Kobe.

Joey Graham - I don't think L.A. has any interest in him.

Danny Granger - I like the kid, but I think he'll stay in Indiana, he looks like he's going to be good for them.

Gerald Green - The so called next T-mac won't be leaving Boston. He's in the D-league right now, and he's slated to be their future along with Jefferson.

Luther Head - I want him. He's a 3 point threat, and he should be relatively cheap.

    Julius Hodge - I don't think L.A. is interested.

Juwan Howard - He'll be even older, I'll pass.

Allen Iverson - He isn't going to leave Philly, and he'll be on the brink of his career.

Jarrett Jack - He's an exceptional point guard, but there are better that we can get.

James Jones - Could be a nice additon, but I think the Lakers can get better, again.

Jason Kidd - Kidd is already old, he'll be even older. Pass.

    Linas Kleiza - Who?

Yaroslav Korolev - Hasn't gotten time to show his stuff, I don't think he'll be a big target for the Lakers.

    Raef LaFrentz - Pass.

David Lee - Another NY rookie, I think the Knicks keep him.

Corey Maggette - Health will be an issue, but him an Kobe are good friend. I'd love him here.

Shawn Marion - Absolutely love him here in L.A., but I think he'll re-sign in Phoenix with their future looking HOT.

    Jason Maxiell - Pass.

Sean May - Phil Jackson reportedly wanted May, I don't think the Lakers will target him though.

Rashad McCants - Looks like he is finally coming around in Minnesota, we don't need him though.

    Sergei Monia - Pass/

    Rasho Nesterovic - Pass.

Jermaine O'Neal[/b] - I'd love him alongside Kobe. He wants to win. Kobe + Jermaine = lethal, if O'neal can stay healthy.

Chris Paul - New Orleans' savior isn't going anywhere.

    Johan Petro - Pass.

Nate Robinson - The Knicks rookie warrior won't be leaving NY.

Malik Rose - Pass, he'll be old.

Wayne Simien - We have Ronny Turiaf, we don't need him.

Stromile Swift - Brings excitement, I don't think he's the key target in this plan.

    Kenny Thomas - Pass.

Charlie Villanueva - I'd love him, but Toronto is going to want to hang onto this kid.

Hakim Warrick - Another Stromile Swift.

Martell Webster - This Portland youngster isn't in L.A.'s sights.

Deron Williams - The first pg with the possibility to be great in Utah since Stockton, he'll be staying.

Marvin Williams - He won't leave Atlanta. He's so versatile, they'll keep him.

    Antoine Wright - Pass.

Half that list will either be too young to help us still, or too old.

KG and Diddy are the only ones, they also might be willing to sign for less for the VERY good chance at a title, as well as playing in LA along side Kobe and under Phil Jackson.

Hopefully, if Lamar is still around by that time, the Lakers will trade him for less talented but solid role players, or expiring contracts.

    Diddy
    Kobe
    Walton
    KG
    Bynum

In the 07 plan if all these guys aren't resigned the salary would be 42,000,000. Thats 25,000,000 less than this years salary.
    Signed through 07-08:
    Kobe Bryant
    Lamar Odom
    Kwame Brown
    Andrew Bynum
    Brian Cook
    Sasha Vujacic
    Not signed through 07-08
    Devean George
    Chris Mihm
    Slava Medvedenko
    Aaron McKie
    Luke Walton
    Laron Profit
    Smush Parker
    Von Wafer
    Devin Green
    Ronny Turiaf

25 million to do with. we need at least 6 guys so sign. They would've had 34 if it wasn't for them guarenting Kwame 3 year. That just might screw the whole plan up.

Keep in mind, the Lakers can go over the salary cap as well. Because they own the Bird right's of all the players unsigned in 2007.

Bird Right's means the player has been on your roster for at least 3 seasons. You can go over the salary cap for these type of players.
