My guess would be personal reasons. Hopefully not cancer or anything like that. You never know.

How does Dame feel? Betrayed maybe a bit? He seems to love Stotts and had to be a relief going to play with him again in MIL. Now they pull the rug out ? Not that Stotts was fired but rather encouraged to step down ?

Not a good sign. Is Adrian Griffin the guy you want in charge if it's Championship Or Bust?

So he quit literally a week before the season starts while they’re setting up a brand new offense with a giant pick up in Dame that used to play for the guy. Has to be personal reasons or something wtf

Stotts thought he was working in Milwaukie. Imagine his surprise when he found out it was Milwaukee.

Some on bucks forum see it as Stotts not liking what he is seeing because of how unusual it is to see a guy bail right before the start of the season . Also there is concern the team lacks experience in coaching … join the club.

I read an article that said Stotts wasn't crazy about a Dame centric offense again and might have preferred Jrue Holiday in his new situation than he has with Dame joining the team. Don't know how much truth there is to it but I think Terry probably has a better offer as a head coach elsewhere if I were to guess. Could also be that Griffin as a rookie coach is letting Stotts run the show while Griffin gets the paycheck. I doubt it's easy for Terry to give his playbook to another head coach and not be a head coach himself. Could also be he doesn't want to work, he doesn't need the money that's for sure. I could see him taking a cushy TV job at this point.

Maybe the Blazers could get him to replace Michael Holton as @Travis Demers' color analyst?

During preseason, Dame, out of instinct, acted as if Terry is the coach. Adrian Griffin felt disrespected and insicure. He asked the front office to choose between him and Terry and the rest is history.

I'm gunna be honest. I am unhappy about this. I too wanted to see Dame and Terry win together. It would've been a good story.

I liked your post because I agreed with it, and because you typed "would've" instead of the abominable "would of", which I've seen much too often.

My only time in Portland area was the stay at a AB&B in Milwaukee! Lovely place. Ate at the Red Mill Restaurant every Morning.
