coaches usually use 10-man rotation in the regular season and then in the playoffs they usually go with 9-man or 8-man rotation, but if im not mistaken, chauncey said that hes gonna use 10-man rotation on b2b, so id like to know why he uses 9-man rotation in the regular season, he can surely go with 10-man (dennis smith jr or tony snell when he comes back) im not against it, just curious why he does it
A lot of coaches go with 9 and there's a clear drop-off from 9 to 10. Our 6th through 9th guys probably aren't getting enough minutes as is and you'd have to further dilute things to play a 10th guy.
Now that Powell is out you will see next man up and i believe he will tinker more. You might see 10 now? It's a long season.
I think Chauncey wants to build chemistry with those 9 players until everything is cleaned up and clicks....he may be using 9 players but in our win he played third stringers....it's not like our last injury riddled season when we were looking for roster combinations that could fill the gaps left by Nurk and Zach being injured...Stotts had 19 starting lineups looking for what clicked
Could be said Stotts had 19 starting lineups "SO" nothing ever clicked. Injuries were a problem no question but they were healthy going into the playoffs.
nah...he had no choice...we were snowballing injuries the last few seasons ...he didn't play Tolliver at the 5 because he was the best option...he was the only option. I think given what he had to work with it was remarkable to make the playoffs 8 straight years. Chauncey wants for it not to matter who subs in because they all understand the same role....Dame and CJ clearly didn't play that way before so from what I see....Chauncey is building a better foundation for the roster than Terry did but I also think Chauncey has a bench better suited to pulling that off....Stotts coached 170 players in Blazer uniforms....Chauncey is on his first 14...I blame Dame and CJ for things not clicking under Terry alot.....we're sharing the scoring load very well in a small sample size....previous seasons Dame would not sit the 4th quarter with only 19 pts in a game....now he can do that...Chauncey once said to Melo that scoring 30 was too important to him and I think he's probably explained why to Dame and CJ.
Very possible, though I think that Smith is going to have an opportunity to show out during whatever time Norm misses. I'm very optimistic about his chance to shine in this role.
We use a 9 man rotation because if we don't make the playoffs we can enter 3 teams into Ice Cube's 3 on 3 league. #maths
