I can't believe a player of his caliber whines as much as he does. I've seen Duncan more vocal and people give him a hard time. But Kobe goes far and beyond. I've seen him harass refs for at least another offensive possession AFTER he believes he was fouled. There is no way that he shouldn't receive at least 3 "T's" a night in the spirit of the "No Tolerance" rule. Am I saying he doesn't get fouled sometimes? No. But other superstars don't get the call, disagree, and get back on D. At a time out they bring it to the refs attention. Kobe openly disrespects the refs with gestures and mannerisms.

Kobe might not be the quickest back on D but singling him out is dumb.
<div class="quote_poster">SkiptoMyLue11 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What player has never whined?</div> Shane Battier. Grant Hill. Ray Allen.
Ray Allen is the coolest player in the NBA by far. Kobe is the most talented player in the NBA by far as he just had a 50 point game tonight.
Sabretooth is a whiner himself that's why jk man.... but seriously no need to single out KB man...only players that play with passion for the games, would whine and that is usually the best player

Yea, I find his whining annoying, too. But, while its annoying, he's not the worst player that begs for those superstar calls. Vince Carter is the worst, IMO.
i've seen much worse than Kobe. I just hate that "ima kick your ass" look he gives them and runs silently back on D .
I thought this thread meant real crying, I was going to say maybe he's just an emotional guy lol. Who knows, maybe he wants his calls, Wade whines too, so does Duncan, Cassell and Payton sometimes get lost in plays because they're talking to the refs, the list goes on.
Anybody see Antoine Walker whine? His facial expression looks like he's about to break down into tears, lol.
Yeah, Kobe whines alot but its really the refs fault because they appease him and Kobe knows whining works. Look at what it did for him last night, the Lakers came back from down 20+ points and they showed how many times the Lakers have come back from huge deficits just this season. He and Phil Jackson just harrass the refs all day and they give in which usually makes it impossible for teams to hold a lead in the 4th quarter, the basic strategy that I've seen from the Lakers when they're down is to have Phil and Kobe whine and bitch, Kobe literally stop trying to score and just get try to the line. He'll get to the FT line about 10-15 times in the 4th quarter, Kwame and Mihm can go over the back of anyone and knock anyone to the floor without a foul, all of a sudden the game is tied and Kobe actually decides to play and hits the game winning shot(s). It wouldn't be so infuriating if Kobe just played to put the ball in the hoop and beat you, then its a tough los but legit because you got beat, but instead he just flails into big men of the opposing team and goes to the line then your team gets mugged by Kwame on the other end with no foul and the process repeats.
