i dont like college football! Its saturday anfd all u see on tv are college Football games. I really am not found of 19 year old punks getting away with stuff just because they play football, basketaball, etc. these kids get to be on TV and act like they are kings!

College football defenses suck! thats right besides maybe a few big schools. u look at espn and see 56 24! how can u watch that. I dont like the mentality that football is more important than education.

There whole system is infiltrated(thats as close as i get to a BA word [IMG] ) with cheaters and people that cover there own @sses all for some kid who can throw a ball 60 yds. I dont beleive that these kids are ready for the fame and pressures the world today. These kids get money under the table and cheat through the system. WHat does this teach them? It teaches them that when they come to NFL and the real world they can get away with anything as long as they have $.

I would expect someone from the Northeastern US not to appreciate college footfall.

When there are only 4 major programs (Syracuse, BC, Pitt, & Penn State) north of of mason-dixon line & east of the Great lakes, its understandable.

Infiltrated? A BA word? Do I get a royalty check every time some one uses it.

BA, i love college football, i find it more exciting than the pros, even though i like the pros better for some reason. You forgot rutgers in that list also [IMG]

GF1, first of all, the players dont cheat, and dont get paid under the table. the NCAA does a great job of monitering that stuff, and why do u think Mike WIlliams isnt back? and Mo Clarrett isnt playing anymore?

second, how are they punks? have you ever heard of what jonathon vilma did last year? have you ever heard of Craig Krensel(or OSUs QB), the players are hard workers that have to maintain a certain GPA to stay elibable. thats why Julius Jones was kicked out of ND, because he flunked classes.

I think its ignorant of u to say they are punks when you obviously dont follow it, and know the rules. if anything theese people have more heart and desire than the pros.

College defenses are amazing, its not like theres 2 good Ds. When you see scores like that, its a top 25 team killing a bad team. there are 300and some D1 A schools, and the top teams have to play lesser teams.

College football is just as exciting, if not more. YOu have bands, the student sections, and the overal atmosphere is amazing, best sports atmosphere in the world. yes, the world.

There are 2way players, great plays, and better OT systems. More than not, there are close games and they are so fun to watch.

I think for some reason, you hold a grudge because NCAA Football takes time away from your saturday morning cartoons, and thats why you dont like it.

if you hate college football, you prolly have never been to a game....college football is a cross between the passion and atmosphere of high school football and the persicion of pro football....go to a game before you judge a whole sport, and stop generalizing, for every player that is on the take, there are 500 that are there to get an education and have no future in the pros....

I don't like the fact that College football is mainly run oriented or that you can complete a pass if the receiver has one foot in bounds... I also don't like the fact that the Option is still a viable offense in college.

Other than that, College football is okay. NFL rules, though!

    I think you're right PF.

When I think of Saturday morning cartoons, I think of that famous quote,"Meanwhile, back at the Hall of Justice..."

infiltrate was not the appropriate word to use GF1, a better word would be infested. If you had gotten a football scholarship and used it to educate yourself you would know this.

do you realize that if it wasn't for college athletics, there probably wouldn't be football as we know it?? The NFL didn't come before college. It's been around much longer. Hell, even if there was an NFL without college, would it really be that good to watch 18 year olds playing professionally?? Christ, give it a break. College ball is great. Saturday nights...Tiger Stadium...92,000 of your closest friends...you should try it sometime.

Not to mention sitting in the student section. Now THAT's team spirit...well, maybe not team spirit, but it sure smells like some strong spirits.

Adrian McPherson... the guy on Miami whose been arested 13 times..... the HARRICK crap(i kno its bball but its still college)....... too many scandals and too much junk = colorado and all this other cheating.

and what happened to those people that do wrong? they get fired, and expelled, and banned from the NCAA.

how do they get to much exposure? people want to see them, so they are on. like i said, they must be taking Batmans spot on saturday.

compare 100+ D1 schools carrying a team of 80 or more players to 32 NFL teams with about 60 players. Of course theres going to seem like more problems. But for every Adrian McPherson at FSU, there are 50 other guys on that team busting their asses to make it.

High School football is huge, on TV all the time. I dont hear you calling them punks. You gotta experience the game to understand the passion and thrill of the "student section"

THIS IS LUDACRIS!!! although NFL does rule... these are young guys, and if the option worked along w/keeping a healthy QB NFL would be "infested" with it too.....I believe it does need a instant replay rule too.....one foot heh, make the kids strive for 2 feet, seperation of skill can be seen...

In the NFL, you have 3 types; West coast (yawn!), Old School/run oriented (Dolphins, Chargers, Steelers), & Wide open (Vikings, Rams)

Thats the beauty thing about College. More styles of offense. I love watching teams that run the option.

When the Air Force Academy is perfectly executing the triple option, its a thing of beauty!!

I purposefully did not include Rutgers (or Temple) as they have never accomplished squat!! In a few years, U Conn may be the 5th in my original list.

Dartmouth will never be included; Any school that produces Jay Feidler can not be good!!

I agree with Giantsfan....college football is a waste of airtime Id say, they even play it here in Canada all over the tv on the weekends, no one here really cares to see it though.
