Mainly because he left the University of Minnesota as a freshman, and the Minnesota fans obviously wanted him to stay longer, as he's a good player.
Saber: You should know why Kris is booed. The guy was a complete punk in his one year with the Gophers. He never got along with his teammates last year and he pissed his coaches off. His dad is the ultimate prick. His dad constantly whined about Monson not using Kris enough and he would rip Kris's teammates. His dad had full access to the Gophers locker room a lot. There was a reason why Moe Hargrow left and I believe in one of the Gophers players spoke out to Patrick Reusse last year about how everyone was miserable because of Kris. He came out looking like a punk and he was clearly using the Gophers to go to the NBA. He had no interest in leading the Gophers back to respectability. He was out for himself and he made it clear that he was gone after his freshmen year. I hope he stinks in the pros. He should have stayed in college, but then again it's a good thing. It's no coincidence how the Gophers did well this year with wins and chemistry without Kris and his dad, William Humphries presence.
I don't follow the Gopher's Basketball, so when they said he was coming out to the NBA, I was like "Yeah, whatever dude?". I think about him and Rick Rickert (seems to have been an unplanned pregnancy if you know what I mean) in the same thought. I hear Rick is doing better....where ever he is.
He did leave on very bad terms with his teammates and the University. The sad thing is he could care less. It's sad to think him and Rick Rickert could have played on the same team. That would be have been a great frontcourt. I never thought Humphries was ready for the League. I love proving myself right. He barely plays with Boozer and Kirilenko out.
Before going to Gophers, he even flirted with DUKE as well. I think he commited to them but later dissed 'em. It's either him acting stupid or that stupid father of his holding full control over his big son. He was good in college tho(23 and 10).
That is one good reason. Obviously he did not care about his NCAA career. I cannot believe he went in the draft at all actually. You should never go pro, obviously he doesn't know much about the sport of basketball. I also, agree, he will never get any playing time and I also don't like that he is such an ego maniac, and tried to date Kim Kardashian who is a nice girl. He is a punk, with no career at all. I can whip him I am sure one on one. Kris, hit the bench buddy. You are an annoyance in the league. I am definitely not surprised Chris Paul and other people left your team just to get away from you. Also, have fun playing in Brooklyn, I hope you like to walk, because that is all you will be doing in the worst town to play in in sports these days. And leave Kim alone.
