What the hell is going on? So the Collins/Swift deal was delayed for a couple of days because the Nets would have been short big bodies? Hello? Talk about a passive-agressive statement about magloire. I think Magloire is a poor fit for this team, but he's no worse a fit than Collins was. Why can't he play? Why won't Thorn insist that he play? Why didn't Thorn discuss Magloire with Frank before signing him? Again, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? Sometimes I feel like a fool or an ass for following this disfunctional team.

Anyway, IN THE UNLIKELY HOPE THAT SOMEONE IN THE NETS FRONT OFFICE IS READING THIS:

Offer Magloire to New Orleans for Rasual Butler. Butler hardly plays, but has a decent outside shot, which the Nets desperately need. He played pretty well when forced to start last year. New Orleans could use another big man. The salaries match.

Most importantly, the Nets are unlikely to sign a free agent this off season that is any better than Butler.

This is a trade that makes sense. Just get it done. Magloire deserves better.

[ps., also SIGN BOBBY JONES ALREADY.]

I agree on the Butler and Jones points.

Magloire is our best rebounder (shown statistically in his stats per 48). Speed wise he's no worse than collins, but skills wise he's better. While I applaud Maglorie for rolling with the punches, I wouldn't fault him for speaking up about his playing time; it makes no sense to me.

collins only got more minutes then magloire because frank loves him. frank felt comfortable with him and that goes back to why frank doesnt trust newcomers to this team. mag was a good rebounder and was no worse defensively then collins, who had slipped majorly.

If anything, Mags benefits from Collins leaving. Hes the only beefy big, besides Boone with experience.

Magloire is just bad. Stiff as a board. Starting to understand why we read reports about him riding a bike and skiping rope all the time, he's fighting off rigamortis.

I'm all for Butler if we can get him. Throw in the birdman if he gets reinstated!

Unfortunately the Hornets are stacked with bigs: West, Chandler, Armstrong, and Ely.

Have you watched Magloire when he does get in a game? He actually makes Collins look athletic. Wouldn't be surprised if he is out of the league next season. I think there is something physically wrong with him and that's why he's not complaining.

That's because he wants to get all the stats he can. He wants to play for a contract. He could care less about a fastbreak and getting the ball to Kidd. Boone is a better rebounder than him. Boone is 10x the player Magloire is.

Yes, the Hornets have four bigs on their roster of 14 or 15 players. One would expect that they'd prefer to have five or six.

Magloire has been shockingly bad. He moves his feet like Frankenstein. But it's hard to tell if it's the lack of minutes making him rusty and slow or if it's that he's just plain terrible. They should try and get him 15-20 minutes a game for a 4 to 5 game stretch. If he's still stinking it up, then fine. But I think he should get more of a chance. At least audition him so some other teams can check him out and make an offer on him if he shows anything.

I don't think not playing would make him stiff. He's suppose to be a professional athlete. It's not like he doesn't exercise if he doesn't play. I think he's broken and auditioning him would actually lower his value. He's only good for someone that wants an expiring contract.
