HAHA, I ask myself the same question some times. I always want to refute something he says, but normally durvasa takes care of it. I just read and laugh nowadays.
<div class="quote_poster">igotask8board Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">He's called a lot of things, and sometimes he can be pretty insightful.</div> But he also jumped all over my nuts when I said that Swift was a bad acquisition for Houston, as well as when I said that Battier-for-Gay was a good deal for Houston. In hindsight, I'm completely right and he's completely wrong, but at the time, he ganged up on me with a bunch of you guys on both topics and let me have an earful about what an idiot I was. He's also too quick to pull the race card and blame everything else on greater conspiracies. BTW - He doesn't have access to this forum, right? I think that a Rocket TL (durvasa or Locke) should PM him and tell him to change his attitude so that he expresses his feelings without being so combative. In the meantime, I'm locking this thread. Nothing productive can really come from it.
I think someone do need to tell him that his attitude is not only crappy, it's also bringing a negative vibe into the site. I, for one, am more reluctant now to post on any thread with him in it simply because I just don't wanna get into a forum argument against someone that narrow-minded and stubborn. Although I will say that he's generating alot more interest / hits to our forum due to his controversial stands... but damn, the guy needs to admit defeat at the very least
Well I've PMed him before, but he seems to have no idea how the PM system works. When I've asked him about whether he got my PMs or not, apparently he doesn't know how to access his inbox.
I don't think he'll bother you guys anymore. He's on a 6 month vacation, and if he ever comes back after that and doesn't change his ways, it'll be permanent.
<div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">LOL, how did he get banned???</div> You miss the entire Scola thread? Lol. The guy was a source of frequent complaints, and he's a repeat offender, having been suspended three times already. He knows better than to throw personal attacks around and bait. The last straw was really the Alston thread though. I deleted all OT posts in there, but he basically extended the Scola thing into there and got too personal.
It's gonna be pretty quite around here. Edit: I skimmed through page 5-6.5 off the Scola thread, and it's just 6.5 pages of everyone ganging up on rock telling him he's wrong/doestn't know what he's talking about. I'm sure he got frustrated and probably baited, but I don't really think anything is his fault. Little kids here don't even respect that man's posts.
It's a double edged sword kinda thing with him. Without him it'll be relatively calm/quiet here, but with him, there'll be alot more traffic but with very mundane/silly posts by him that will trigger alot of silly / are-you-serious posts. I can't decide if it's better for him be here or not.. but either way, I think it's good that he got banned for a little bit for now. He needed a swift kick in the ass.

Second of all, in that thread, rock ignored everything that everyone was saying. He has the worst combative attitude I've ever seen from a poster. You can't have discussion with him, because everything you say will be ignored and rock's retorts will be nothing but sophomoric insults. Lastly, rock is a repeat offender who is on thin ice as is. We had enough reason to ban him years ago, so the fact that he never changed his behavior was just the tipping point.
I'll be on the lookout for new posters with his style. Last time he got suspended he re-registered because he didn't know how to access his PMs and thought his account had a problem.

The Rockets are looking to win now, and he didn't think we had a good enough PF. The Kmart idea was acctually a pretty decent idea if we could send them garbage, who knows K-Mart might bounce back. I wouldn't make any trades for him, but with no other options, I can see why Rock wanted him. <div class="quote_poster">Voodoo Child Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">First of all, those "little kids" are probably twice rock's age, and they act like it. Rock was asking for questions and many had been responded to. He anwered all the questions he missed, or at least gave them a reason why he wouldn't answer the question. I really think he knew a lot about basketball, the Rockets, and sports in general. He got a lot of his predictions right.
<div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">how old is he????</div> According to his profile, he was 26. He bragged about watching Rockets basketball since the "Sleepy Floyd era" so he can't be as young as his posts would suggest.
