Spare all the agony...
I don't think so. No DH so there's really not much they can do with him except as a pinch hitter. I doubt they would want him in the field.
Just saw Pedro Gomez discussing that in one video then stating in another about Tex going there. His reasoning was that 1st Base hasn't been productive for the Marlins this year. He also reasons that Tex though not playing that well this year would be a presence. Damn Pedro, check out the stats on Yankee First Baseman this year. The Yankees would also have to eat the 6 million he is owed but they could clear a roster spot. Lot of rumors flying, I still wonder if the Yankees can move Gardner of McCann or if that will have to be off season.
I know this story is streaming like a hot burrito, but when Jim Bowden speaks- I rarely listen....*** Nothing at this point in MLB or A-Roids future will surprise me, yet if he maintained one ounce of personal integrity ie his body telling him, he's done with, toast, can't perform, talent show is over- then #13 would nix this rumor, yet he's not saying anything on the contrary (thus far).... I bet Donnie BB does NOT wan't to see A-Roid coming. Why M. Hill (Marlins GM) would want A-Roid is also beyond reason, and beyond me too...ticket sales??? Get Stanton healthy, we will see all the laser moon shots, which A-Roid can no longer hit, maybe they wan't A-Roid to be Stanton's mentor on what gummies to eat or not.... *** J. Bowden- 2004: Nat's GM: He resigned his position after it was reported that Bowden was part of an FBI federal investigation into the skimming of signing bonus money from Latin American baseball players https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Bowden
exactly, .... obviously we have enough MLB Owner's/GM's who are ding dongs, thinking they hear "ka-ching Ka-Ching," (repeat endlessly); every time his name is mentioned; or any idiotic idea equating to the bottom end, $$$, someone makes an dumb decision every minute in America, or MLB....? Might as well put him in a Mascot suit, let him walk around sign autographs, while wearing/looking like a full sized; stuffed animal- Marlin....(watch the tip of that thing dude, or put a red ping pong ball on the end of it)....
