On a consistent basis Caron has been able to light up the night, and many times he flirts with a triple double. He hustles up and down the court and makes the key plays down the stretch which take us to victory and he contributed so much to the Wizards recent streak. He is currently fourth in forwards, however there is coach's put ons. I think he can although I dont expect him to get much time in that game. There is LeBron, Jermaine O'neal, and Paul Pierce ahead of him at this point in forwards.
He kept us in the game tonight. Without Butler, we would've lost this game, and several other games in the past. He already proved it to us Wiz fans, but he's yet to show the world he's capable of being an allstar. He did great against the lakers and suns, but was overshadowed by Gil. He should be in the year's ASG, no doubt.
Yo, please tell me someone on here saw post game live after the game? THEY ANSWERED MY EMAIL!! I asked Glenn specifically because I know how much he likes Caron on how his chances are on making the all-stars, and I was so stunned to hear them answer it, but cooler with how Caron Butler answered it himself.I'm waking up at 4 am to tape the post game live again.
Hahahhahahaha, nice, I saw post game live and that question but I did not see Caron's response, what did he say? Damn ming, two times? What was your first questoin?
I remember that. I forgot what Caron said though. All I remember is he doesn't care. All he's focusing on is helping the team. GArenas, he only sent one email.
ha, thats cool they answered!Butler, due to the fact he just isn't popular enough (or yet) will not make the ASG. Doesn't really matter. The ASG sucks anyway, it's worthless. Rather see my team win then 3 of the guys on my team make the dumb ASG..

As well as Butler has been playing at a pretty high level, I don't think he will make it, solely on the fact that he isn't a "big name". IMO Bosh, Pierce, O'Neal, James, Okafor, etc, are all forwards that should make it over him. But they're all great players, so its not like its a detriment to Butlers very solid start to the year.
he might.. its gonna be pretty hard .. I think buter and Deng should be in it. both young players have step there game up so much. .. I hope one of them make the allstar team. But its a fanbase.. Alot of people dont care about whos doing good they want to see the superstars
I'd love to see Caron make it. He's averaged, what? 25.some points per game over the last 6 or 7 that we've played, and 21 (actually 20.9, but 21 is the more sexy stat.) He's been on the boards alot this year too.I wouldn't be surprised that he misses the ASG though, he's not very popular in the fan bases. You ask the average sports/basketball fan who Caron Butler is, and they will say "Who?" They'd be more familiar with Gil, however, of course. Gil's in the top spotlight.
You can't be serious. He might make the allstar game by going to watch but, not playing. Not to sound redundent but, the allstar game is about popularity not talent. True, that Butler, Jamison, Arenas trio is dangerous. Alot of talent between them. However, Caron is in a tough category everyone will vote for LeBron James and the second Eastern Foward vote will be split between Chris Bosh, Paul Pierce, Jermaine O'Neal hell even Andre Iguodala is more popular....
He's playing allstar caliber ball, but I doubt he pulls the votes for this. Hence my Underrated club!!!
