Do you think Chris Paul will be Rookie Of the Year? Since he is the only scorer in New Orleans besides Jamal Magloire, I think he will score around 16 points per game while dishing out 6 assists per game and win the award. He is an excellent athlete and has the ability to score and find open teamates.

did u forget about JR Smith? He will score more because of Paul. It will be between Paul, Deron, and Bogut. It will be a good race and I think Paul will come out on top.

Well he is no longer the ?only scorer? they acquired Butler and Snyder both are capable of putting the ball in the basket, also JR Smith, and PJ Brown is a double double guy so he can get his too. I still think Paul is the leading candidate for rookie of the year, but you never know. I mean an injury can always happen or a player can underachieve. This will be a question better posed for answering after we see Paul play, and develop during the season.

im saying Sean May. simply because he was really pissed that other teams passed him up. in summer league even though not the best place to judge you could see that he had something to prove ,"a chip on his shoulder" and on a team like char hes bound to get the opportunity, alongside emeka hes going to get some serious touches. keep your eyes on him!!!!

Yes I think CP3 will win the ROY. He was my choice to win since the draft so I hope so. He and J.R. are going to be scary in a few years.

I think Chris Paul has the best chance of winning ROY. Hes going to be the point guard on a very bad team. Most of the scoring is going to be placed on him along with getting his teammates involved. I think Paul is the perfect point guard for this situation. Hes a good passer and a great scorer and i think he will thrive in NO.

I agree, i also believe Chris Paul has the best chance, hes coming into a team that needs him, most other rookies are put into a situation where there not really need.(not all but most) I think he will score and dish out well, hes proven he can be an impact and can score and with Magloire downlow he has someone to throw the ball to. And also the Hornets acquired my boy Rasul Butler he is a great shooter, CP can dish out the rock to him and get some assists. And as for J.R. Smith, him and CP will be huge next season.

My choice of ROY will be:

Either Deron William or Chris Paul
They both are really good players and i can see them as being solid all-stars in their future years.

lol Sean May is good..but he wont be starting..
I also would like it if CV3 becomes ROY lol
    thats charlie vill

Chris Paul seems to be teverybodies and their momas favorite for the rookie of the year award right now, and he is going to have a great oppurtunity to do so playing for the Hornets. But at the same time there are other great rookies out there who will give him pleny competetion.

Paul is definitely the front runner at this point, with the roster he is on and the opportunity he'll get to play. There's always that one or two rookies every year that will be given an stage to perform on and they take advantage of that. An example for this year can be Monta Ellis, if JRich gets hurt he is given an opportunity to show his stuff to the coaches his skills and he can make a run at it if they give him the P.T, again that's just an example I am not saying Monta Ellis is going to win rookie of the year just using it as an example.

bad choice. He is in the same position stromile swift is. He is the same type player and will be backing up pau gasol.

im saying deron williams, chris paul, and very unlikely but i have to say his name becuase hes my favorite player in the draft GERALD GREEN

deron williams will have the biggest effect on a team that can make a playoff push.

gerald green as a chance if they start him at the 3 over tony allen which might happen during the season.

Hakim Warrick and Sean May?? Did you guys even think?? Sean May has the reigning ROY ahead of him in the lineup and Hakim Warrick has Eddie Jones, Pau Gasol, and Shane Battier ahead of him and all three are quality players.

I dont think Paul will win it, I think Deron Williams will win it because he's a very good passer on a team with a lot more options than the Hornets have and because of his size. Nothing against Paul but this season I think that Deron will be better.

Chris Paul has the potential to become the ROY, but I don?t think he can win it over guys like Deron Williams or Andrew Bogut. Both these players are just as talented as Paul, but I think the fact that they?re on a better team will increase their chances of winning the award. Williams will be working with Jerry Sloan and can pass the ball to players like AK47, Harpring, Boozer and Okur. Bogut will have the luxuries of having two shooters like Redd and Simmons next to him. This will be a very effective situation for Bogut considering he?s such a good passer.

Paul does have Smith to pass it to, but he?s inefficient and very inconsistent at times. His shot selection can use some tweaking, too. Magloire?s health has become a concern recently and we don?t know how he?ll recover. This just means Paul will have to do more scoring, but with little help, I can imagine his FG% will suffer a bit ? something I doubt will happen to Williams or Bogut. We?ll see, though. I do know for sure that Paul will be on the All-Rookie First Team.

Chris Paul. He could bring something like an Allen Iverson type impact to the squad even though he may not be as great as A.I., particularly on defense. He's a very polished pro and he's lightning quick, he can dish, and he can shoot. This guy would be a #1 overall pick if he weren't so darn short. I think he'll bring immediate presence when he's on the floor compared to guys like Bogut or Marvin Williams, who might taken longer to develop. Deron Williams will make the Jazz better, but I think Paul will put up the numbers in many categories, especially because few players on the Hornets can create their own shot consistently. J.R. Smith is not a great ballhandler, but Paul is. Plus, it helps that the Hornets have some inside presence so there are options inside as well as outside for Paul.

Gerald Green, i think he's underrated, he should have been drafted earlier.

You assume Felton is starting when Knight was second in the league in assists last year?
