He has a player option at $10.5 million for next season. Think he may want to leave Dysfunction Junction and try his hand elsewhere? I wonder what kind of money he can garner after his time here.

And Marcus is an unrestricted free agent after this season. Retire? Stay? Go to Miami?

Failton, Camby & Wallace equal $31 million in salary.

Who would we replace them with if they went elsewhere?

Brooks, Hibbert and a resigned Batum?

I think the Blazers should take all risk out of it and trade Wallace and Crawford. Trading Felton and Camby would be good too because I'd hate to lose them for nothing

Wallace has already said he will opt out. He thinks he can get a 4 or 5 year deal...but the way he has played this season, that seems like a big risk. If he actually demands something in the 5 year/50-60 million range, the Blazers need to just say "no."

Trading him should be an option - but don't bet on it happening.

Yeah I agree with this except for probably asking roughly 4 years 36 mil, with the 4th year being a team option. Maybe the 3rd year being player option?

OK, so Camby is retiring, Wallace is going elsewhere and Failton should be run out of town on a rail.

We Get Brooks for $8 million (per year), Batum for $10 million and Hibbert for $12 million and we are paying out the same amount as this year.

    C- Hibbert
    PF- LMA
    SF- Batum
    SG- Matthews or Williams
    PG- Brooks

    We could do worse.

If we can somehow land Hibbert, that would be exciting

Trading him and Camby and Felton should IMO be a priority, but with the Skipper and Gilligan at the helm of this ruderless SS Minnow that may be a pipe dream and "the future may be lost, the future may be lost"...

Don't be so sure. That's more realistic than trading Failton, Wallace & Camby.

Well, if Hibbert declares he would like to play elsewhere, that would be the best thing. You are reading too much into what I said. All I said was that if we could, that would be awesome. Never said it was likely. Just agreed with another poster

Hibbert is a restricted free agent. He's good, but not great. I think if we went about $2 million above market value we might shake him loose.

absolutely disagree with that, though with our inept mgmt any significant trades appear unlikely as well

Yeah, they might. I really don't know how he is viewed by Pacer management. He may be untouchable, but when I've seen him play I don't see greatness.

Hibbert is a pipe dream. Indy is actually a good team and most of it has to do with Hibbert's contribution to the team. I think they match anything any team offers; even toxic offers. Just goes to show how important big men are to the success of a franchise.

I don't understand why we don't look for a PF instead of a Center? I think Aldridge actually can fit in as a Center. He bulks up every summer and his post moves are getting better each year. I think PFs are much easier to get than centers. Once a team has a good center, they will do everything to keep him there.

Here is my suggestion if we try to trade before the trade deadline. Now that we have Vanilla Gorilla, I think Thomas is available for a deal. I would toss Thomas in this offer, but he's not available until March 1st.

Calderon and Johnson for G. Wallace, Thomas and Felton

My feelings exactly ... but then again I wanted to trade Wallace for multiple firsts when it came up in training camp.
