<u>Will A Deal Get Done?</u> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jul 11 - Friday GM Otis Smith will journey to Philadelphia to meet with Steve Mountain, the agent for Jameer Nelson, to start contract extension discussions. Getting Nelson's extension done could go right up to the Oct. 31 deadline because of the uncertainty over how much he is worth. "Jameer's down year doesn't bother me; it bothers everybody else, but not me," Smith said. "I know who Jameer is and what he's capable of. "You've got to start the conversation and explore the opportunities that are there. Now is the time to do that instead of later. You have to leave yourself some time to work out the kinks in case some come up." -- Florida Today</div> <div align="center"></div> Let's hurry up and get an extention done and not overpay instead of waiting to long and have some other team swoop in and steal him away (like philadelphia, his home town)
I think Jameer will stay in Orlando. With Lewis and Howard, he has a great front court. Hedo at the SF, and JJ or Ariza playing the SG, he has a good team with him. If he does go to a team like the 76ers, then they will get a lot better then were they are at. They will finally have a good PG since AI left, and could make a run at the 8th seed.

We'll be so far in cap hell it wouldn't make any difference anyway. </div> You must be the sadest fan I'v met. You so down since Lewis got that contract. I would be sad too, maybe he'll put up 30 a game? On the Jameer thing, like I said, he'll stay. He has a 25 million dollar man on his team

Although with how crappy our defense is going to be, Dwight will be in serious foul trouble many times so Shard will likely have to be our #1 option. Hell 5 years 75 mil, the original offer I thought we were overpaying him. This is just ridiculous.
