I suspect that he'll make a trade, which is finally feasible now that he has enough healthy bodies to work with, but I doubt that it will be the big move that many around here are looking for. Probably just a move to bring in a journeyman-type big.
If by trade you mean trading Patty Mills for a highly protected second round pick I'd say "possible," but if we're talking about a BIG trade or trading rotation players for another team's rotation player I'd say a snowball's chance in H-E-Double hockey sticks.
Agreed. A Taurean Green for Von Wafer deal is possible but other than that, KP is probably holding on to his cards for another year.
KP is not going to make a trade unless it improves the team long-term. With our walking wounded, I don't know who we could get that would fill the bill. I suppose he could do a really minor trade to bring in a big. Or a really big, big trade, moving lots of bodies, but again, unless someone wants our wounded or recently wounded, that would be tough. I voted no trade. And I can live with that.
I'm still hopeful, and hopeful that it will be a trade for a longterm impact player. I think KP will be more likely to make a big trade midseason this year since it doesn't look like we'll be going far in the playoffs. We do have a couple expiring contracts and some good young assets to work with.
I doubt he'll make a trade and don't think he should if it hurts our future in any way. He might make a small trade though to bring in a big man, but if he can't get better than we already have why do it? Don't need to take off of some teams hands a big contract just to help this year.
I agree KP may make some sort of small move to get a 500K trade exception. He will not ever make a big trade in the middle of a season.
