I was disappointed that Nick did not draft Orlovsky out of Connecticut.

Gus Frerotte is not the long term answer. Should Feeley not pan out, I have my eye on Jordan Palmer (Cincy QB Carson's Bro) @ UTEP and Jay Cutler from Vanderbilt.

Funny story, The SEC media was so sick of all the hype surrounding Urban Meyer that they voted Jay Cutler from Vanderbilt the preseason's best QB not Chris Leak.

FWIW, Leak does not have the right skill set or psychological makeup to run Meyer's offense.

Well Chris Leak is gonna be one hell of a college QB but his height of probably under 6' is gonna give him problems in the NFL. As for the hype it should be expected since Urban Meyer was the first coach in the histroy of the BCS to lead a non BCS team to a BCS Bowl.

I think Nick Saban did a good job in his pick of Ronnie Brown, it was unclear if Ricky Williams was coming back and if so how would he play. A good running back is needed for a successful offense. The running backs they have now all lack any good abilities, the stats dont lie. They do need a quarterback but with a good running attack a mediocre qb is all you need to win. A.J. Feeley could work out, he has always been a back up and maybe as he gets experience he could do pretty good. We will see I guess, if he doesnt the next draft might produce a good qb to pick.

They will definetly draft a yound QB in the 1st round next year, unless they pick up a great free agent QB. To get to the next level they need better QB play.

Why would you trade a 2nd round pick for Feely? At least get Volek if you are gonna get trade for a backup QB.

Why a 2nd for Feeley? Because Spielman (the former GM) is a borderline putz.

Volek would've been nice but I think Miami could've pried Ragone away from the Texans for 4th or 5th.

Hyopthetically speaking, if Harrington doesn't work out in Detroit. I would not be adverse to Saban giving him an opportunity in 06.

Feely wasnt even a good backup QB. They could have found a way better QB in the draft with a 2nd round pick than Feely

Quarterback is deep this year. Leak and Young will stay indefinately. However, Jacobs looks as if he will enter, and then of course there is Leinart. Leinart would fit best in the Dolphins offensive scheme, but Jacobs wouldn't be a bad fit. He can get it done with his arm, and his legs when needed. Other quarterbacks that are likely to to go first day are Darrell Hackney, Reggie McNeal, Charlie Whitehurst, Jay Cutler, Brodie Croyle, and Bruce Gradkoswki. Brady Quinn, and Drew Stanton would fit nicely as well, but it's uncertain if they will enter.

That could happen, but I think they will bring in someone else to make some competition during training camp .

I wonder who will draft Marcus Vick?

As you have noticed, Saban has a good amount of LSU players on the Dolphins. I think for back-up or maybe 3rd string QB he should look to another LSU player, Rohan Davey.

Also, Leak didn't look too good this past weekend in Death Valley.

Start Michael at RB and use Marcus in passing situations, then play Michael as DE and Marcus as Free Safety and Punter!

I think the cardianals will get Reggie Bush with their 1st pick and with their 2nd rounder snag Marcus Vick. That would be a nice offense

Yes, yes, yes!!! The Dolphins need a new QB. Frerotte is not the long term answer. We don't really know what Rosenfelds can do because he's never really been given an opportunity to play. Will the Phins use a first round draft pick on a QB? I guess it depends on who is available in free agency and who is available when we get to pick. I do think the Dolphins still need to address the offensive line as well or it won't matter who the Dolphins get to QB.

He doesn't have much time to come back. Can't miss a weekend in the SEC. I think thats a cop-out. Gotta admit that the LSU defense against Florida looked alot like the 2003 REAL National Champion defense?

The Cardinals didn't use an early second rounder on J.J. Arrington so that they could use their first round pick on Reggie Bush.

Marcus Vick won't drop to the second round. He has a slim chance of dropping past 10 because of his last name.

Dolphins will be all over Omar Jacobs in my opinion. If he's gone I wouldn't be shocked if Saban went Brodie Cyrole probably in round 2 then. Cyrole has a lot of talent alone on a raw bases. Teams will fight for him.

I think whichever QB will get selected Saban will put him on the bench for half of a year or a full year to get use to the NFL, like Carson Palmer. He has Gus Frerrote who will have another year under his belt and should be adquete untill the rookie QB comes of age.

Heres my prediction, Saban wants to win imediatly so he goes with a young QB that is in the NFL already, and that would be Philip Rivers. Rivers is gonna be out of San Diego some time soon, and Rivers can come day one and start for the Dolphins
