I predict they fire him right away to show LeBron they blame the coach and not him.

absolutely. they should fire him right away and start looking for a big name coach who would increase the chances of lebron staying.

Why he still had a job is what I'm wondering. Time to get serious over there.

I agree with you, HK. The guy should have been fired last year.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, fresh off a six-game, second-round loss to the Boston Celtics, have fired coach Mike Brown, SI.com reported Friday, citing two unnamed league sources.

Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert was scheduled to address the media at 2:30 p.m. ET, though specifics of what he was to address beyond the team's ouster from the playoffs were undetermined.

ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher was told by a team source, when asked about the report, that it was "not accurate."

Brown is a year removed from winning the NBA's coach of the year award and three years removed from leading the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals.

He has gone 272-138 as coach for the Cavaliers over five seasons, having recorded the best record of the NBA's 2009-10 regular season at 61-21.

Fired. Doc Rivers out-coached Mike Brown in the playoffs.

But it's too much, too little, too late. LeBron is gone! It will be interesting to see how LeBron will do with an offensive coach like Mike D'Antoni.
