Just curious to see what everyone thinks about the likelihood of Mills seeing the floor against the Clips.
The chance is somewhere between zero and none ... that is unless somebody gets hurt (but there's no way that could happen).
I would think so. Andre and Bayless both played 40min last game(Miller 44min), so I think Mills will come in for about a 5-10 min stretch just to give guys a breather.
My guess is that his ability to hit threes in D-league will make him too tempting to leave on the bench. Unless he gets really hot, he probably logs just 3-5 minutes at some point just to see how he looks out there.
I think you guys may be overlooking the fact the Andre and Bayless both played 40min last game. I can definitely see Mills getting about 5-10 of those. He may play as little as 3min tonight, but I really think he gets some action tonight.
not to think nate would do this.... but a big reason we have won some of these games is throwing out looks scouts have never seen. enter mills, and bench bayless. take a chance.
I think he'll play, but only garbage minutes. What would be the point of calling him up, just to sit him? Leave him on the pine just for cover? No, he'll get a few minutes somewhere.
I think he sits tonight and tomorrow. He is a last resort insurance policy for these games until Blake returns. But I could be wrong...it'd sweet to see him.
If Bayless suck badly, then yes. Somehow, something tells me that 'ol Jerryd will rise to the occasion, though. So, no.
mills is hot... heshitting his shots. ride it. bayless has 1 good game every 5 nights. he cant hit jumpers with consistency. in a weird way hes kinda a sg version of darius miles. Miles never good hit a jumper consistently. lots of talent but will always be dared to shoot. sure he will ahve those big nights but they are few and far between. i think mills looks like he will be a more complete player then bayless.
Actually, if you look at his game-scores - he seems to have 1 great game every 5 nights, one good game, 1 OK game and 2 bad games. Which is, a great thing for a guy as young and inexperienced as he is. He is also doing it with a very nice AST%, a very low TOV% for a guy that handles the ball as much as he does while drawing more fouls than anyone else on the team, based on percentages. So - as usual, your analysis is crap. With that said - I would be shocked if Mills does not play, at least a little bit tonight. And the great news is that there is no reason not to play JB AND Mills. The way JB has been dishing it out when attacking the rim with a vengeance - there is no reason Mills can not be at the end of the receiving end of these passes.
He could. Tolliver was brought in early in the second quarter Vs. Miami. But after getting burned badly by Beasley he was taken out right away.
