Giants released CB Will Peterson.Peterson, thought of as one of the better young cornerbacks in the league a few years ago, is suffering from a career-threatening back injury. Sam Madison and Corey Webster are the favorites to start at cornerback for the Giants this seasonI wouldn't be surprised if Peterson just hung it up.
He is expected to hang it up, which is why the Giants did cut him...Sad to hear, but the Giants shouldnt miss him too much.
the Giants will miss him a lot, he's been their best corner since Sehorn retired, and yeah, thats not saying much(being the best corner on our team) but he's been nothing but spectacular/borderline probowler with us. He was great in coverage, got INT's, and tackled great.
