ok for once w/o ooo carter is gunna get injured can we really go newhere even in the east with carter mo pete AD and company i actually think they can be they will not be a factor in the East finals or the championship They have a piece missing this piece being a dominant Center and with all the oppourtunitys we've passed up (Theo Ratliff just to mention one) i gotta be wondering what Glen has up his sleeve because in order to get resigned they will have to be succsessful this year, maybe hes waiting for a lockbuster trade maybe a early good-bye to VC [IMG]

even with that roster i dunno if they can make the playoffs. vince and AD r good players but we have no bench or supporting cast. our whole starting lineup excluding vince and AD would be bench players on other teams and our whole bench would be players would play 10games per season on other teams.

VC will never be traded and has a no trade clause. I would only trade Carter for A great player like Iverson. Atlanta will not trade Ratliff.

Alvin Williams could start on many other teams. I think Peterson could too.

a reason why the raps r looking for a point guard is bcuz alvin shouldnt be starting. mopete is too damn inconsistent to start. alvin scores too little and cant penetrate eough.

all u raptors fans should stop just cheering on ur team--lets face some reality--raps arent that good as much as u love them

There were looking for a Back up to Alvin not a starter. You dont sign someone to his contract so he can be a back up.

the raps prefer to get a starter instead of alvin starting--they dont have the money so they cant

2 years ago u had Oakley, Keon, a PRODUCTIVE ad, a PRODUCTIVE vince, dell curry, chris childs, etc.

now vince is a dumbass, ad is too old, keon, curry, oak and childs r gone.

vince is NEVER going to be like b4. his past injuries make him a step slower and mentaly he will never be back. now he makes stupid desisions such as critisizing Bosh AFTER he gets selected. wtf would that do? he wants bpsh to get traded after toronto makes the sesiion not to trade him.

i will be writing more on vince in a new article for the Writing team.

He lost us the series against Detriot.(childs) AD is still good. We have Bosh to be our Keon but better. Palacio is as good as Childs. And we have a better Peterson and Murray. But we dont have a great true center. OR an Oakley but i think we can be a good team. I really think Moiso will be good.

Shapecity left a pretty long post in another thread explaining how the raps WILL make the playoffs if they stay healthy and i thought it was a good post.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">the raptors will definately make the playoffs if they can stay healthy. they have a nice lineup and solid depth. vince and lamond give them 2 scoring threats, and antonio davis can be the third option in the post. on defense jyd & davis do a great job defending the paint, and alvin is a good perimeter defender. i think alvin will be a lot better with vince and lamond back. he's a good shooter, but he struggled last year because the raptors didn't really have any players who demanded double teams. off the bench you have mo pete & bosh to provide more offense, and it looks like jeffries is finally coming around. i'd like to see rafaer make the team again, but it looks like matteen cleaves is going to take his spot.</div>

toronto may look good on paper but their defense is horrible and their minds r totally rigid. we need some1 like oakley back in toronto. he could change our metal toughness.

i think all u die-hard raps fan should look into the bigger picture and realize that the raps chances of making the playoffs is bad. i can list 7 teams that r CLEARLY better than toronto. u cant refute this unless u r a totally senseless, narrow minded, unrealistic idiot.
    Detriot
    New Jersey
    Boston
    Philly
    Indiana
    New Orleans
    Orlando

the 8th spot would be competed with Chicago (the team most likely to get the spot), Cleveland, New York and Washington. all of these teams were better than toronto last season except for celeveland which is a team that is on the rise.

Not all of those team are locks for the playoffs. Are defense is not terrible we added Palacio a really good defender and Moiso is a great shot blocker. Coaching is a big part of defense and we have oen of the best coachs for defence now.

i wouldn't go that far. i don't think that they are a top 4 team, but i think that they can slip in as high as 6, if everything goes great, no injuries.
