I am thinking they need a catcher and at least a platoon RH 1st baseman. I also would like Michael Young. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Prior to Sunday's pounding I would have bet that Hughes would have been moved but now not so much. and yes, at this point I know he's old (36) but Young would be the best player we've had at 3rd all season.

I heard first on MLB that the Phillies would keep Young, then they said he did not want to go to the Yankees. Detroit was mentioned (If Peralta goes on vacation) then I heard back to Texas. I don't think the Rangers ever treated that guy right. Love to see the Yankees get him though, 36 or no 36 you know that guy is going to hustle every time out there.

I really don't see another trade happening, or if it does, it won't be anything major or even anything desired...

I think a big trade is coming for a bat or a starter, not a catcher though, too difficult to find and too difficult to get in the tune with the staff mid-season, they can deal with Stewart and hope for Cervelli to get back.

With Arod done and Tex off the books they can spend a little money, but get ready, you have to give to get so we may be seeing one of their top prospects going, all they need is for more teams to feel out of the race, it's happening IMO.

Outside of Sanchez and Williams there isn't a prospect you can bet on in this organization.

Why just prospects? they can move Phelps, Warren, Nova... and Sanchez, Montgomery, Williams are decent chips no? they can get something done if they want, also NY has one thing many other teams don't- money.

Very true. Don't forget Hughes, Joba, Logan, Romine or JR Murphy. In my eyes nobody should be safe outside of the untradeables.

In a perfect world I want McCann, Morales and Young but I will settle for two out of three or just be happy with one out of three.

with his injury, doesn't the insurance pay for him and therefore he isn't on the Yankees books? he did play 15 games, so maybe not...

Most of Tex's salary is covered by WBC and Yankee insurance for this year, so off the books for 2013, not much left but still...
