Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams is confident he won't lose his starting job and can't wait for the 2010 season to begin.

Williams is coming off a dismal season in which he caught only 38 passes for 596 yards and seven touchdowns. He also was credited with eight dropped passes, which ranked 12th in the NFL last season.

Oh, and the Cowboys selected Dez Bryant in the first round of the NFL draft.

"I know people are thinking he's going to come in and take my spot and all that mess," Williams said. "It's not about that. I don't think that's going to happen anyway. I embrace the challenge. I think he's going to come in and help this football team win three more ballgames."

Williams, who said he's ready to skip the organized team activities, minicamps and training camps and start the right now, has been working with quarterback Tony Romo to cut down on the number of dropped passes.

"I bet anybody in this world I won't be close to that [in 2010]," said Williams, adding he's been catching 200 balls a week off JUGS guns during workouts and an additional 40 to 50 passes a week from Romo.

Hopefully those three will be in the playoffs!

I wouldn't be surprise to see him lose the starting position by the end of the season unless he really improves over last year.
