    Dan Warthen, the Class AAA New Orleans pitching coach, will replace Peterson. Ken Oberkfell, New Orleans's manager, and Luis Aguayo, the team's field coordinator, will also join the major league staff but their responsibilities are unclear.

    General Manager Omar Minaya, who arrived here late Monday night, will meet with the media Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m.</div>

    Real classy making them fly to Anaheim and firing them after a win so they could do it after the last newspaper deadline.

    Also, firing Rick Peterson has to be the dumbest thing the Mets have ever done - and that is really, really saying something.

    I won't miss Willie Randolph, but Jeff Wilpon is a joke. F him.

    Why the hell did they fire Peterson, too? That's just silly.

    Not upset with Willie gone, though.

    I think Oberkfell will be the long term replacement for Willie.

    Peterson got fired also? Wow, didn't know that. But I think it was Peterson anyway who said that Kazmir didn't have the right stuff, good call [​IMG] ...I know they did it cuz they were going into the playoffs, but still...
